Hi Mr. Low GPA Over Achiever, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. So it’s not every day that I talk with someone who is an organic farmer and wants to make an impact in AI! Maybe you can build an AI tool that can alleviate human interaction in your farm? So first the GPA, I am guessing you used a translator here or converted straight to a 4.0 scale. Often the Indian 10 pt scale does not directly correlate – so you may want to relook at this. Partially, because with a lower GPA (if it is truly low compared to your class) and a 700 GMAT, I think that MIT, NYU and Stern are long shots. To put in perspective, and I am not a …

  • Still wondering what's the overachiever part here. I don't think there's even a 1% chance at any of the schools. I will bet my life savings on that. Request you to sit with a professional and understand what the schools really want.

To put it bluntly, you really need to work on your plans. How does Sloan help you start an organic vegetable farm, and what does that have to do with AI? What in your background helps you achieve either of those? It's critical you get that figured out, because you have a lot of things to overcome: very competitive bucket (indian male engineers), low GPA, low GMAT, not premier work experience, non-feeder undergrad, already have an MBA, and you're definitely on the older side (if you're 32 now, I'd assume you're at least 33, or even 34 if you're applying to class of 2024, by the time you matriculate)
