    Mr. Lucky Banker, it sounds to me like you worked hard to land your job as an examiner at the FDIC. I bet that had as much to do with your success there than luck. So I am going to assume that your “Sun Belt School” is probably not a feeder to the elite MBA programs that are on your target list. But your 4.0 GPA in finance would have put you at the top of your class so it should make less difference, particularly for such schools as Kellogg, Duke and Darden that tend to view candidates more holistically.
