I spent my first 3 years out of undergrad at MBB, but made the jump to buy-side this time last year. Now I work on the investment team at a middle-market PE fund. I went to a very large state school that’s respected in my state, but unsure it if has much clout elsewhere.

The fact that an MBB hired you from what I am assuming is not a feeder school is impressive and you had solid career progression while there. Your nearly perfect GPA and 740 GMAT should be more than enough evidence that you can do the work. Additionally, you’ve made a career pivot that many applicants pursue an MBA in order to make.
