Candidate:

Mr. Not Your Dad’s CPA

About Me:

Currently an accountant with three years of experience consisting of 2 years in public accounting (National firm but not Big 4) and a little over a year in private industry. I worked for a F500 hospitality company as a senior accountant working with various hotels and tech startups. I was let go due to Covid and I am now working as an accountant for a tech startup, also in a senior accountant role. This pandemic has forced me to look inward and I have realized I want to put my business skills to use in the medical field, working for a non-profit focused on a rare genetic disease I live with. To have an impact in this role I first want to work for a top management consulting firm and learn how to solve an organization’s most pressing problems.

Hi Mr. Not Your Dadā€™s CPA, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. You are not alone in reflecting during Covid on how you want to make an impact. Many of my clients this year have done soul searching through lay-offs, personal experiences and all the events of the last year.
