I was a below average student during my school time and I come from poor middle class family. I failed when I was in class 4th, had to repeat the class. And never scored above 60% up until my 10th class. Also was a backbencher till that time. When I was in 10th class, become serious about my studies and first time in my life scored 82% that too when same year I suffered from tuberculosis and had to undergo treatment at home for about more than a year. Later after my 12th had to drop 2 year and not able to attend college due to family financial issue and father cannot afford my education. I did self study at home and cleared the entrance of one of the oldest, reputed central government university and went for engineering in Mechanical from it. Paid less than $200 for my entire engineering that’s how reduce the financial burdon from my family. Later during engineering got interested in propulsion technologies. Did my final year project in Dual mode rocket engine. Later, got selected as a Scientist in the govt. Space organisation of India. Worked on many projects. One special one is the India’s moon landing mission. Certified some of the system for the moon lander. It’s first time when India landed on moon.
