Mr. Risky Analyst, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. I love the Pulp Fiction reference! So letās start with the basics. From an academic perspective, you GMAT score is strong – that is great. Knowing that BITS grading scale is normally not a 4.0 scale, you may want to check the conversion here. It looks like youāve been in your risk analyst role for 4 years, so you will want to highlight any increases in responsibility. It looks like you have a diverse set of interests – another way to show your leadership potential could be through extracurricular involvement. Based on the limited info here, I am not seeing involvement. Could you do some pro-bono risk analysis work for smaller firms or non-profits? Finally, why consulting – and where do you see this taking you in the long term. What will consulting be preparing you for? Do you want to be a career consultant? Or potential end up in-house somewhere in the long term? These are all questions that admissions will want to know the answer to. I never like to see a 1 school strategy – so suggest you expand your list a bit. If the East Coast is your target – you should also consider Darden, Georgetown and Duke. Wishing you the best of luck!
