While balancing the life of father, husband, and school, I started a Software Development company that has been booming through the first two years. As another achievement, I was able to reevaluate the business budget to enable more job positions to those software developers that lost their jobs due to COVID-19.
I am tired of being called a “startup”, my goal is to grow to become a Fortune 500 software development company. An MBA from one of these top schools will give me the tools and contacts necessary to achieve that goal. I’ve got the fuel, all I need is the rocket.

Hi, it’s Nisha from mbaMission. First of all, props to you for balancing family life with your entrepreneurial achievements – not easy for anyone! Very cool to hear that you’re fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and that you’re involved so meaningfully in the community as well.
Regarding your profile for a top MBA program, it’s tough for me to assess your odds without a test score, but a few things I wanted to point out: 1. your level of work experience – this part I’m not totally clear about, since you’re 23 and have 5.5 years of work experience. MBA programs mainly focus on your full-time post-collegiate work experience, though they’ll take into account internships/work you did while you were in college in assessing your overall candidacy. 2. Are you planning to stay at and grow your company post-MBA? If so, I recommend looking into either part-time or 1-year MBA programs (such as Kellogg’s), as I think they would suit you the best.
Hope that helps a bit – best of luck!
Hi, it’s Jennifer Jackson. I’m confused by your profile — that’s a lot of FT work experience for someone who is only 23! You have a good GPA but without a GMAT it’s really hard to assess your chances. For GSB, you have to demonstrate that you want to change the world. Your entrepreneurship experience will be attractive to these top schools, and showing you need the leadership, relationships and business skills to grow your company the way you want to. So that Why MBA is there. I just would want to understand more about when your work experience was and was it during college as well? What about the 2 years extracurricular? The timing is confusing but I’m sure you can explain it much …
