Candidate:

Mr. Strategy To Real Estate

About Me:

I’m a Strategy Analyst with one of the Big 4 firms where I have received top ratings. While I’m an American citizen, I have a global perspective with a Masters in International Business and 2 internships in foreign countries. In school, I spent much of my time mentoring younger students and building mentorship programs that I continue to advise on.

Work History:

Title: Analyst

Industry: Consulting

Company: Big 4

Length of Employment: 2 yrs

Big Life Wins:

I was part of one project where my entire team was in the midst of leaving the firm. I stepped up and led the project from the ground up by dictating our strategy, leading interviews, developing all the deliverables, and structuring / presenting our findings. I leveraged my knowledge to join multiple projects as a sort of industry specialist.

Post MBA Goal:

I would like to transition from consulting mortgage-backed securities clients on strategy goals to entering the primary real estate market on the principal side in real estate private equity. I want to be able to gain a fundamental real estate finance skillset, place into industry, and learn the skills to eventually break off and start my own firm.

Hello Mr. Strategy To Real Estate
Krista from mbaMission here. Thanks for posting!
Stats like yours are tough to beat and will serve you well in this process. You seem to be the type of candidate who would benefit from a telephone consultation so I encourage you to reach out. I say this because you come from one of the toughest demographics…American males in Big 4 Consulting. It would be helpful to know more about your client work and career progression to really best evaluate your chances. One thing I worry about is that you only have two years of work experience. At the top b-schools, I generally find that candidates like you do better when they have 4+ years of work experience upon application. (This …
