Though my startup didn’t work out due to certain limitations around business model and tech expertise, it provided immense learning in terms of building a team, understanding nuances about building business model around a tech product, and leadership. This experience helped me in my current job as a VC while making 2 deals and portfolio management.
Short term goal (5-10 years): Focus on becoming a product manager in a high growth technology company and build strong experience at the intersection of technology, management, and business development. Long term goal (beyond 10 years): Either lead a technology company as a CEO or switch over to a VC firm and build and oversee its tech portfolio.
