I have loved working in the art world. I have found, however, that the idealized version of that world isn’t appealing. After a decade of experience, including managing a contemporary art gallery and a major private collection, I discovered that what I actually enjoy — the day-to-day operational aspects of my job — requires a different skill set. I want to build arts-oriented organizations that help others access the inspiration that art provides.

You will need to make a strong case for why an MBA can help you achieve it, as there won’t be recruiters visiting campus for those roles. Be sure to also make connections to why your target school is right for preparing you for this unique next step. You are definitely interesting and eye-catching, which helps you stand out in the process!
