Big Life Wins:

I built strong relationships within the 354-person alumni community I am a part of. During the Covid-19 lockdown, I started a roll call to check in on individuals and also encouraged alumni to organize events to stay connected in spite of the distance. The community self-organized 85 events over 4 months.

Post MBA Goal:

To address scale and complexity of the problem of education inequity in Malaysia, I want to meaningfully scale social impact in the region in culturally responsive ways, by supporting the social purpose organizations in my network to scale. This includes my current employer.

Other than your post doc, itā€™s not completely clear if you are currently in Malaysia working in education – but letā€™s start there. I worked with a client a couple years ago who was focused on improving education in an East Asian country. I believe she was successful in her application to Stanford because she had enough experience and knowledge to articulate the problem and demonstrate how she wanted to ā€˜change the worldā€™ in this country.
