I’m intrigued by your involvement in what looks like both internally at your firm and externally as an alumni. Schools like seeing alumni engagement as it shows you will be an active alumni for them as well. And based on what you have here it sounds like you’ve sought opportunities to expand your horizons outside of tech. I like to see the leadership opportunity through work – and you will want to talk about how this will make you a stronger leader and contributor in the future. My areas of concern are your overall work experience – you’d have close to 4 years at matriculation – and would want to dig into why now (and not 1-2 years from now) is the right time for you? Your breadth of work experience (taking on additional responsibilities) could help here. And as a woman in technology/finance – you need to have something that helps pull you above other candidates. Based on the limited data here, I am not seeing anything that is jumping out in your profile. An area to think about here is why consulting – why tech – why disruption? What is personally driving you to this space – and what impact long term do you want to have on the world. What unique perspective are you going to bring to the classroom? Making a personal connection to your goals can really help you develop a unique and compelling story.
