Congrats on an already amazing career journey. As a 31-year-old medical doctor and startup founder, you make a very strong candidate for a highly selective MBA program. Congrats on an already amazing career journey. As a 31-year-old medical doctor and startup founder, you make a very strong candidate for a highly selective MBA program. I would think the best consulting firms in the world will be eager to have you in their healthcare practices once you graduate with that MBA. Your 309 GRE score and your 3.2 GPA are below the class averages at Georgetown but I very much doubt that will make a difference in your odds because of your stellar achievements as a doctor with published research. The bigger question perhaps is why Georgetown McDonough? The school does boast a Healthcare Business Alliance that brings together all of Georgetown’s students who are intereted in healthcare as well as a Global Health Institute that sponsors healthcare immersions for students in far flung places. But you might also look at Vanderbilt University’s Owen School and Johns Hopkins Carey School, both of which have put the business of health at the very core of what they do best. I do think you are getting into McDonough with this profile but given the random nature of MBA admissions I would apply to a few other programs as well to hedge your bet.
