Hi, I’m Shambhavi and I am 25-years young (rather than old). I believe experience is one of the greatest teachers, thus, I wish to learn to experience and experience to learn. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Delhi University. I like to call myself a people’s person, witty and I hold empathy in high regard.
I wish to get into marketing, brand management roles after an MBA and wish to specialize in Marketing. I haven’t ruled out an MSc either, since I wish to study in the US. Financial aid is a key factor in my decision-making as well. I need a realistic shortlist of schools based on these conditions. Thank you!

In my formative years, I went through a typical phase of teen rebellion. That made my teachers, parents believe that I had lost my direction, sense of ambition. Eager to reassure them that this wasn’t the case, I switched gears overnight and worked tirelessly. The following year, I topped my school in the 12th-grade board exams, with a 100/100 in Psychology.
I function well in a team and around people, I possess the knack for making others around me comfortable. I have strong interpersonal and communication skills, all of which make for a holistic blend of leadership, managerial traits. An MBA with a premier school would hone these very skills and transform me into the best leader-version of myself.

Hi Ms. Psychology & Marketing, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. I love your reflection on experience and learning and your energy comes through in your profile. Since you mentioned that financial aid is a key part of your decision set, you will want to find schools where your profile puts you at the upper end of their range. Your digital content background is more unique for Indian applicants and so you will want to talk about what unique perspective you will bring to the classroom. You mention your working style compliments your leadership, make sure these stories come out as all programs will be looking for examples of your leadership. It sounds like you are investigating MS and MBA options – you can look at employment reports from programs to identify which programs can help you connect with companies you are interested in. Whatās not clear from your profile is your experience with quantitative analysis. If this is a part of your role, make sure that you highlight it. With a 700 GMAT and midrange GPA, schools are going to want to see evidence of your quant abilities. Your might consider taking HBXCore, a Berkeley/UCLA extension course or MBAMath to help show a recent quant class. And, not knowing where you are on your GMAT journey, you might consider retaking the GMAT as your current score is at or below your target schools – and therefore not setting yourself up for scholarship opportunities. Other schools you may want to consider are Tepper, Emory or Kelley. Best of luck!
