Ms. Retail Queen

About Me:

I shifted from a career in Journalism to an interest in business, and retail. I pursued a Masters in Management at Kellogg, and am currently on the path to reaching strategy consultant at my firm by the end of the year.

Specifically curious if I should apply ED vs. R1.

RE: scores, I have diagnosed severe test anxiety, and will include that in the notes / special circumstance section of the application.

Since CBS is your first choice school, I would urge you to apply early decision because your chances of an admit would be greater. It’s smart of you to apply now at 25 because if you don’t get the outcome you want you would be a stronger candidate in the following year. However, I am confident that you have a good shot at CBS which does not publish class GRE scores. (By the way, your 322 is the average score at Wharton so for someone with text anxiety, you did quite well with it). One other thing to consider here is applying for the January intake at Columbia. Given your goal to continue in consulting, shifting into strategy work, the accelerated MBA at CBS might …
