Columbia Business School rose two places in Poets&Quants’ 2014 ranking of the top full-time MBA programs in the U.S. The improvement came after a significant jump in the school’s rankings from Bloomberg Businessweek in 2014. CBS zoomed to No. 5 from a rank of 13 only two years earlier. That made a very big difference for the school’s position in our composite ranking, especially because Columbia held its own in all the other rankings.
Most MBAs had good things to say about the school and the MBA program. As one wrote on the open-ended portion of the Businessweek survey: “We have incredible speakers every day due to the NYC location. The finance program is unparalleled. Team-work is emphasized over personal achievement creating a fantastic, collaborative environment. Finally, the approach to teaching is practical and hands on, teaching us real on-the-job skills.”
