The Florida State College of Business MBA: What You Need To Know

The Florida State College of Business one-year Accelerated MBA Program kicks off with a three-day orientation program for all full-time MBA students. The orientation program includes information on presentation skills, a ropes course that stimulates team building, and an opportunity to interact with faculty and staff.

All full-time MBA students are required to take 39 credit hours. This includes 30 credit hours from a core set of courses aimed at strengthening managerial skills in the fundamentals, ranging from accounting and marketing to operations and strategy. Accelerated MBA students are also required to enroll in an additional three credit hours of professional development seminars.

For the 9 credit hours of elective courses, students get to choose whether they’d like to pursue a specialization in supply chain management, management information systems, risk management and insurance, business analytics, real estate, finance, or human resources. The school also offers a joint pathway, allowing students to obtain a law degree alongside their MBA.
