Georgia State’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business offers a flexible and customizable 2-year MBA program designed for working students. Courses are offered at the Atlanta campus at a variety of times and at students’ desired pace.

On average, MBA students are 29 years old and enter the program with around 4 years of work experience. Students take core courses such as Managing in the Global Economy, Strategic Business Communication, Legal Environment: Ethics and Corporate Governance, Data Driven Decision Making, and Leadership and Organizational Behavior. Aside from the core courses there are 6 electives courses built into the MBA.

Part of customizing the degree is the option to select pathways within the MBA such as Fintech, Healthcare Enterprise Management, and Leading in Global Business as well as concentrations in 18 different areas such as Entrepreneurship, Organization Management, and Information Systems.

Surprisingly, Robinson doesn’t require prospective students to submit GMAT or GRE scores. They instead assess prospective students based on an interview, along with other typical application materials such as a personal statement, transcripts and resumes.

To further enrich their experience, students can pursue certificates in Artificial Intelligence, Business Innovation, Disruptive Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Fintech Innovation. Also popular are case competitions. Robinson has had a successful track record at the National Black MBA Association Graduate Case Competition and Ohio State’s KeyBank Case Competition.

Robinson also offers a unique immersion program called Panters on Wall Street where students visit financial companies such as Accenture and Capital One and attend meetings with company employees and executives.

The college is dedicated to helping students get the most out of their graduate experience, so much so that students are paired with a Graduate Student Experience professional who guides them through extracurriculars, sharing opportunities to participate in workshops, networking events, boot camps, and recruiting fairs relevant to a student’s interests.
