The Wake Forest MBA: What You Need To Know

The Wake Forest Winston-Salem MBA curriculum is designed to provide MBAs with the skills and tools to challenge perspectives to create holistic solutions.

To capture the essence of Wake Forest School of Business, you must visit Wake Forest’s beautiful Reynolda campus, where Georgian architecture sits upon 340 acres of hills, minutes from Winston-Salem.

Their team-based approach to the MBA means that all MBAs go through the 20-month program in their tight-knit community of just under 40 students, with support from one another, attending classes in-person on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

The 5-semester curriculum gives students an understanding of broad leadership and management skills that are both strategic and global, while integrating finance, operations, marketing, entrepreneurship, and information technology. Students take electives to personalize their experience further in their interest areas.

Wake Forest offers optional concentrations in Business Analytics, Strategy & Leadership, and Finance, and a new addition, coming to the program soon – a concentration in Digital Marketing and Project Management. Students may also choose to earn a general MBA by selecting a combination of elective courses best aligned with their interests and goals.

The B-School offers Global Immersion Courses – each are unique and provide the opportunity to explore the intersection between business and culture around the world. During their time abroad, students visit companies, meet with local business and government leaders, tour significant cultural and historical sites, and take part in shared dining and entertainment courses.

Outside of the in-person format in Winston-Salem, Wake Forest offers two other formats for their MBA, with classes held at their state-of-the-art learning complex in uptown Charlotte – the city’s vibrant business epicenter. For the in-person format, students meet Mondays and Wednesdays. The other is a hybrid format, with classes on select Saturdays and online. This format has a slightly smaller class consisting of 31 students, 42% of which are female.

There’s an array of resources at Wake Forest to support MBAs, such as a dedicated career center, networking events, conferences, alumni networking events, student-led clubs, and more.
