About the Program
The Master of Science in Management Information Systems (MS MIS) degree provides students who majored in MIS (or related fields) the opportunity to gain advanced IT knowledge and skills. The MS MIS is designed for students with roughly three years of work experience after completing their undergraduate degree. While an undergraduate degree in MIS is not a prerequisite, competitive applicants should complete course work in the following areas prior to application: statistics, programming, database management, business data communications, and systems analysis and design.
Program Format and Schedule
The MS MIS program is a 21-month program, organized into four semesters. The MS MIS program offers a rigorous curriculum covering topics such as advanced database management, business information security, data warehousing, information systems sourcing, MIS project management, advanced systems analysis and design, corporate information planning, and information systems design and development.
36 credit hours are required to complete the program.
