Students in the University of Cincinnati Lindner College of Business Master of Science in Finance program receive training in both the theory and application of the financial concepts needed to succeed in the industry. Courses within the program prepare students to take the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) examinations. 75% of domestic students accept a full-time position within 3 months of graduation and graduates earn an average starting salary in excess of $60,000. Students have recently been hired by many of the world’s leading financial companies such as China Merchants Bank, Citibank, Ernst & Young, Fidelity Investments and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Merit-based scholarships, paid internships and study abroad opportunities are available. Additionally, the University of Cincinnati Master of Science in Finance program qualifies as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) program, allowing international students to extend their training in the United States by 24 months after graduation.
A total of 30 credit hours are required to graduate from the University of Cincinnati Master of Science in Finance program. Full-time students can complete the program in as few as 9 months. Part-time options are available as well. Students can specialize their degree in order to gain a distinction in Corporate Finance, Investments, Risk Management or Real Estates.
