About the Program
The iMSA is an innovative and flexible Accounting Master’s program that addresses the needs of today’s students: whether they seek to begin their career as an accountant, become a CPA, improve their standing in the accounting field, aspire to become an accounting or finance leader, or want to leverage analytical skills in their current non-accounting career. The program builds expertise in the fundamentals of accounting – financial reporting, audit and control, and US federal taxation. Beyond that, the iMSA delivers analytic capabilities that the industry defines as cutting-edge.
Program Format and Schedule
The iMSA is a fully online program that starts in the fall or spring each year and can be completed in 18-36 months. Professors engage with students personally in highly interactive courses, and working with classmates is routine. The iMSA includes both a live global classroom and a self-directed component. iMSA students will earn a full MSA degree from the University of Illinois, and have access to the vast network of alumni, students, faculty, and staff. iMSA students attend special meet-ups around the world, join alumni events in their area, and are always welcome to visit campus.
