The Master of Accountancy with a concentration in data analytics is designed to prepare students for professional roles in accounting, auditing, and financial reporting. This program merges the fields of accounting and analytics to equip students with the skills needed to conduct audits and high-level accounting tasks, in addition to interpreting data to help businesses make critical decisions. The master’s degree may help students earn the hours needed for the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) exam.
The Master of Accountancy with a concentration in data analytics consists of 30-33 credit hours and may be completed on a full-time or part-time basis. Courses are held in the evenings to accommodate the busy schedules of working professionals. Students without a sufficient background in accounting may be required to take prerequisite courses. A graduate-level foundation course in statistics is recommended for students who need to enhance their understanding of this subject matter.
