Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: My biggest accomplishment in my career thus far would be playing in the NFL. Playing in the NFL is such a lofty expectation for someone growing up, and it requires not only skill but luck. I’m proud to not only have made it to the NFL, but to have played for multiple seasons. The experience serves as a constant reminder to expand my concept of possible.

Looking back on your experience, what one piece of advice would you give to future business school applicants? The one piece of advice that I would give to prospective business school applicants is to engage in the process with confidence first and foremost. Understand that you can’t control the admissions decision, but you can control the amount of effort you put into preparing. The results after you’ve tried your best are out of your control. Use your nervous energy to channel your excitement associated with this process.

What was the key factor that led you to choose this program for your full-time MBA and why was it so important to you? The key factor that led me to choose the Kelley School of Business was their class size. Kelley has one of the smallest class sizes in the top 25 and I think their class size, coupled with their quality of professors translates into their alumni success. This attention to the student, I believe directly correlates to the fact that Kelley is in the top 5 for CEOs and C-Level Executives. The career services department is also highly touted in elite MBA circles, and I am convinced that class size is a direct factor.

What would success look like to you after your first year of business school?  After my first year of business school, success would be complete confidence and trust in the process moving forward. After completing my first year, I expect to have a greater sense of what things I am most interested in and what things I am most talented in after completing my summer internship.
