Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of the school’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? Gabelli caught my attention from the beginning. It was the best fit for me because of its Internationality, hospitality, and its location.

In the globalized world that we live in today, it is essential to have and expand our cultural awareness more than ever; GBS is a great place where I can strengthen my ability to grow in a diverse and global environment.

Also, I found Fordham’s values to be very consistent with mine: Business with purpose. I’m always seeking to encourage and inspire others to be the best versions of themselves. Despite some challenges that may arise, my energetic and purpose-given character helps me successfully go through them. Also, the size of the Cohorts, together with the closeness of all the professors, positively caught my attention.

Of course, GBS is in the center of the world. New York is boundless. There are countless multinational companies and many globally recognized business leaders. Being closer to them could help me gather in vivo powerful insights for my next career steps.

What quality best describes your MBA classmates you’ve met so far and why? One of the best things about pursuing an MBA are the relationships you create. Although this year has made things slightly different due to Covid19, I can affirm that I’ve met most of my peers and would describe the whole group as a great big family. Since the day I´ve met them, we have created an excellent relationship where all my peers are willing to help, either with MBA-related issues or in personal life.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: I’ve developed strategic initiatives to help brands be better for the people they serve, launched products and services, and generated profitable sales growth by creating a sustainable supply chain to fit the financial industry’s needs towards the environment. However, I believe the biggest accomplishment in my career is yet to come!!

Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far? Since I have started my MBA, I have become the VP of Branding for the Business in Fashion and Luxury Club. This club was created to understand better the Fashion and Luxury industries, its underlying economic forces, and the evolution of its digital offerings, and its consumers’ interest in new causes.  If interested, you can follow us at @fordhambifl. Within this club, I’m growing as a leader and meeting executive professionals within the industry.

On the other hand, I was honored to interview Fordham´s President, Father McShane, who gather me with inspiring insights about leadership and how to make the very best of my MBA.

What led you to pursue an MBA at this point in your career? An MBA would teach me how to strategically combine my skill sets and personal motivators towards my professional career. The rapid spread of technology and consumers’ shifting needs are making the world change so fast: the way we communicate, the products we consume, and how we consume them. Knowing how to embrace those fast-paced changes is essential for business growth and positive change. Completing an MBA now will provide me with the business foundation and critical leadership skills to master and exploit change.

What was your defining moment and how did it prepare you for business school? While working in advertising, I realized that I wanted to have more power in how brands made their decisions, how they communicated, and how they performed. I want to manage the whole process and make the ideas possible from a creative perspective and an economic perspective.
