Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of the school’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? The MBA program at the Gabelli School of Business is a critical catalyst to kickstart my transition into the up-and-coming field of digital marketing. My goal is to structure a curriculum that forms a hybrid concentration in Marketing and Information Systems. Having flexibility in terms of choosing courses that I deem to be suitable and remunerating for my career objectives was crucial for my decision-making process.

What has surprised you the most about the Gabelli MBA program? The strong sense of community (Fordham family) during these challenging times surprised me a lot. The support and engagement from the staff members and classmates have made my experience more cherished thus far.

What quality best describes your MBA classmates you’ve met so far and why? My MBA classmates have been kind and responsible. We share many qualities and points of views, which has made it easier to build relationships.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: My biggest accomplishment in my career has been landing a full-time position post my internship at Intesa Sanpaolo, where I quickly learned to adapt to the new business culture. I used my language skills to my advantage, which enabled me to stand out in the corporate financing world as a woman.

Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far? My biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far has been successfully completing my courses and learning a great deal from the staff, classmates, and technical courses.

What led you to pursue an MBA at this point in your career? In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, economic uncertainty and civil rights movements, I believe it is the right time to pursue an MBA degree in order to revisit and gain fresh perspectives on the ‘new’ business world order. While my recent three-year long experience in corporate finance equipped me with invaluable skillset necessary for building relationships and evaluating business funding opportunities, I have been developing parallel interest in the field of digital marketing and its impact on consumer behavior. Nowadays, new technology brings economies of scale when conducting real-time customized targeting on each individual. I believe this poses a great career growth opportunity for leaders of my generation.
