When you think of CEIBS, what is the first word that comes to mind?

The first word that comes to my mind when thinking of CEIBS is “diversity.” This reflects the vast range of cultures, ideas, and perspectives I encountered, fostering a unique learning environment that champions global understanding and collaborative growth among its students and professors.

What are one or two key aspects of this program that led you to choose CEIBS, and why were they so important to you?

Two key aspects that drew me to CEIBS were its focus on China-specific knowledge and the provision of global insights. This blend of local expertise and worldwide perspectives is essential for navigating the intricate global business environment and understanding the dynamic Chinese market. Such insights are crucial for my goals in international trade and cross-cultural collaboration, perfectly aligning with my ambition to thrive in the global business arena.

What course, club, activity, or experience at CEIBS excites you the most and why?

At CEIBS, what excites me the most are the China Modules, Overseas Modules, and International Market Exploration Treks. These opportunities promise immersive experiences in diverse business landscapes, offering firsthand insights into both local and international markets. They align perfectly with my passion for global business strategies and cross-cultural understanding, enhancing my ability to navigate complex international environments effectively.

What is one thing you have recently read, watched, or listened to that you would highly recommend to other prospective CEIBS MBAs?

I recommend “The Culture Map” by Erin Meyer to prospective CEIBS MBAs, especially international students. It offers essential insights into navigating cultural differences in global business, providing frameworks and real-world examples crucial for thriving in CEIBS’s diverse and multicultural environment.

What are two things you have learned being at CEIBS that have surprised you so far – one academic and one non-academic?

Academically, I was surprised to discover how the case method teaching at CEIBS provides a highly practical perspective on learning. This approach not only enhances understanding of business concepts but also fosters critical thinking by applying theory to real-world scenarios. It’s an interactive method that bridges the gap between academic knowledge and practical application, preparing students for the challenges of the business world.

On a non-academic front, immersing myself in a new culture and environment at CEIBS has expanded my worldview more than I could have ever imagined. This experience has not only enriched my understanding of different perspectives but also fostered a deeper appreciation for diversity. The exposure has been incredibly transformative, influencing my personal growth and enhancing my ability to connect with people from various backgrounds.

What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into CEIBS MBA program?
