The Haub School of Business MBA: What You Need to Know

Since 1851, Saint Joseph’s University has educated and shaped leaders needed in our fast-changing world. The B-School’s 125-acre Hawk Hill campus is located in the vibrant city of Philadelphia, the sixth largest city in the nation. As one might expect, faculty and students are quite interconnected with the business and cultural networks of Philadelphia.

Although the MBA welcomed a large group of 331 students this year, the program offers small, dynamic classes to cultivate lively discussion and collaboration.

Jesuit values shape the MBA program at the Haub School of Business by placing ethics at the center of the curriculum, with the idea being to create leaders who are dedicated to corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and diversity and inclusion.

The Haub two-year MBA is designed for working professionals, and therefore extremely flexible. Students can choose in-person sessions at the Philadelphia campus, take advantage of a fully online option, or a hybrid.

The B-School’s stackable, three-certificate model lets Haub MBAs choose two specializations in addition to a core set of business courses including Statistics, Business Intelligence & Analytics, Management, Economics, and Accounting. With each certificate, MBAs gain industry-relevant skills and practice that they can apply right from the classroom to the workplace. The degree can be completed in as little as one year, and as many as six years.

“The combination of rigorous academic preparation, specialized industry skills and a focus on the common good continues to set Saint Joseph’s business education apart,” says Joseph A. DiAngelo, EdD, dean of the Haub School of Business.

Aside from the required curriculum, Haub offers a variety of career and professional development services, professional clubs, conferences, and networking events.

Haub also offers a Food Marketing MBA, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Marketing MBA, and an Executive MBA designed for professionals with 10 or more years of professional experience.
