Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of Kenan-Flagler’s MBA curriculum or programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? 

Beyond my classmates, the aspect of UNC Kenan-Flagler’s MBA curriculum that truly stood out was its close-knit community and global perspective. The school’s commitment to fostering strong relationships and its emphasis on a diverse, collaborative environment were crucial factors in my decision. This community-driven approach ensures that I not only gain knowledge but also develop the cross-cultural skills necessary for success in the global business landscape. It aligns perfectly with my values and aspirations, making UNC Kenan-Flagler the clear choice for me.

What has been your first impression of the Kenan-Flagler MBA students and alumni you’ve met so far?

The warm embrace of fellow Tar Heels with driven minds, inspiring journey, and excitement to learn with and from them.

My best story in UNC Kenan-Flagler so far revolves around the unforgettable welcome reception. The atmosphere was filled with warmth as everyone was incredibly embracing, welcoming, and friendly. It was a pleasure to meet fellow classmates from diverse backgrounds, each with their own amazing stories to share. The sense of camaraderie and support from day one has made this experience truly exceptional, setting the tone for a rewarding academic journey ahead.

What course, club or activity excites you the most at Kenan-Flagler?

Before joining Kenan-Flagler, I was most excited about being part of both the Tech Club and the Finance Club. The Tech Club offered an enticing opportunity to stay up to date with the latest technologies, like AI, and be part of a community that shared my passion for innovation and cutting-edge advancements.

On the other hand, the Finance Club held its own allure, as I looked forward to deepening my understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and financial analysis. The club’s events, guest speakers, and workshops promised to provide valuable insights into the world of finance and open doors to exciting career opportunities in the financial industry.

Combining the Tech Club’s focus on emerging technologies and the Finance Club’s expertise in the financial realm, I anticipated unique cross-disciplinary opportunities. The thought of collaborating with fellow students who were both tech-savvy and finance-savvy was truly exciting, as it presented the potential to tackle complex problems from diverse perspectives and create innovative solutions that leveraged technology and finance synergistically. Joining these two clubs promised to be an enriching experience that would prepare me for a successful and fulfilling future in the intersection of technology and finance.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far:

Being invited to participate in the company’s board of directors at such a young age, and being promoted to build and lead the Continuous Improvement team.

What do you hope to do after graduation?

I want to embrace the opportunities provided by UNC Kenan-Flagler to pívot into a financial role in the tech industry. Simultaneously, I want to forge partnerships with professionals from different industries willing to grow personally and professionally, while giving back to the community.
