Consultant Bio

A US Army veteran, entrepreneur, and part-time musician…John is an aspiring Renaissance man.

Eager to contribute to the war effort of his generation, John reported to the United States Military Academy in the summer of 2010. He was commissioned as an engineer officer and joined the 82nd Airborne Division upon graduating from West Point in 2014.

In 2015, John joined Steel Hearts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring the legacies of America’s fallen service academy cadets, midshipmen, and graduates, where he currently serves as President & Chief Operating Officer.

In 2019, after five years of service in the US Army, including a combat deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel, John left active duty to pursue full-time graduate studies at Harvard University.

As a student, John completed consecutive summer internships at Goldman Sachs, Blackstone, and McKinsey & Co. In 2020, he also joined Legacy, a Boston-based health tech startup, on a part-time basis. Ultimately, John’s entrepreneurial ambition enabled him to join Legacy full-time in May 2022.

A self-taught guitarist, vocalist, and beatboxer, John considers himself a ‘90s rock music specialist but covers everything from The Beatles to The Chainsmokers during his live shows. John placed 2nd in “HBS Got Talent” 2021 where he received a favorite performance vote from guest judge and 10-time Olympic medalist Katie Ledecky for his rendition of “Slide” by the Goo Goo Dolls.

John holds a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and an MPP from Harvard Kennedy School. He currently resides in Queens, NY.
