Length of Employment: 3 yrs, 6 mos

Big Life Wins:

Managed to double the revenue (in terms of value of projects won) from the key client assigned to me within a year. I have received 2 promotions in 3 years (ahead of my peers) and have been handling clients independently from a junior level. Have handled multiple multi-country projects which has given me experience working in cross-cultural teams.

Post MBA Goal:

I currently feel restricted to an ‘advisory’ role (as a consultant), and want to move into a marketing/brand management role in CPG which would give me more ownership over a product and its growth strategy and its implementation. I am hoping that an MBA will equip me with the business skills required for such a transition.

For someone who is only 25 years of age, you’ve built quite an impressive resume for yourself, including a master’s degree. Getting two promotions in less than four years at the largest market research consulting firm is a big deal. So is doubling the revenue for your firm from one of your key clients. Your post-MBA goals leverage your experience and an MBA should allow you to easily make that transition into a world class firm. Your experience with debating also bodes well. It tells me that you are fast on your feet and quite articulate and persuasive. Really, you check every important box for an elite admit, including that super impressive 750 GMAT. If there is one area that is somewhat lacking, it’s …

Congratulations on having accomplished much more than most 25 year olds have, including both an undergrad and graduate degree from illustrious institutions and superlative career achievements, including doubling revenue within a year. You are correct the 3.0 GPA is not the highest, and though we don’t know the verbal/quant breakdown, the above average overall GMAT score goes a long way in mitigating the GPA concern. Your future aspiration is an excellent rationale for needing and wanting an MBA education. Given your target schools and based on the information in the profile you submitted, as long as the execution of …
