I’m your host, Kristy Bleizeffer, and I’ll be highlighting the most important P&Q stories you might have missed. So, let’s get to it. No. 1: MBA Pay: The Impact Of Moving Overseas Moving internationally, post-MBA, could actually hurt your pay prospects, a new study finds. The study, conducted by professors from the Wharton School, London Business School, and Utrecht University, found that MBA grads who moved internationally once or twice experienced less pay growth compared to those who stayed put. However, grads who made more than four international moves, termed “Superglobals”, saw substantially higher pay growth. The authors collected survey data from 1,322 MBA grads, analyzing their career steps, countries worked in, and compensation at various job stages. Read more about this study from our trending tab. No. 2: What Will B-Schools Prioritize In The New Year? What do the top minds in graduate business education expect 2024 to bring to the halls of learning? More focus on sustainability, artificial intelligence (especially generative AI), and business as a force for good, for starters. But that’s hardly news. P&Q asked the deans at several leading B-schools what else the leaders think is coming. Read how they answered in this story, now on our homepage. No. 3: Poet&Quants’ International MBA Ranking INSEAD did it again. After giving up first place to Spain’s IESE Business School in last year’s Poets&Quants‘ ranking of the best international MBA programs, INSEAD squeaked back to the top for the ninth time in 14 years. The school, with campuses in France, Singapore, Abu Dhabi and San Francisco, also won Poets&Quants‘ MBA Program of the Year for its new emphasis on sustainability. INSEAD’s accelerated 10-month MBA is the quintessential global experience, drawing students from 110 nationalities and 75 countries.
