Prospective students are invited for this annual MBA Experience Day on December 16th to experience the CEIBS MBA through a series of campus-based activities. Assistant Professor of Management Dr. Emily David will give an exclusive lecture, CDC Consultant Ms. Amber Li will host a career development workshop, and a panel of CEIBS MBA alumni working in Shanghai will be back on campus to share their journeys since graduating from CEIBS.

Dr. Emily David – The Subtleties of Power

Power. Though omnipresent and often elusive, it is something that captivates the imagination of nearly all future business leaders. Although most view power as an ultimate career ambition, in this lecture we will explore the various nuances and sources of power to understand all the ways we can influence those around us. Using a case study about an Asian family firm, students will discover strategies to harness their available power today by reading the environment to identify which tactic will be most effective.

Career Development Workshop

Amber Li – Amber joined the CEIBS CDC team in 2014, and focuses on supporting MBA students to explore opportunities in the financial services and investment industries. Prior to joining CEIBS, Amber spent 10 years working at a number of top financial firms including; Morgan Stanley, Citibank and PwC.
