I worked with Alan directly for months discussing my story and vision for the future. Alan helped frame ways for me to brainstorm where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do, and he then was my main point of contact for shaping how I tell my story. We iterated on my essays countless times, and I’m incredibly proud of how well the overall story and application turned out, particularly because of Alan. He’s a great coach who will listen when he needs to and provide input where necessary, and I can’t recommend his services enough.

In a process that makes you at times feel very stressed, Alan was a constant source of calm and rational perspective. He consistently helped me understand the level of depth and detail I needed to get to to truly demonstrate my accomplishments and made certain that we were not leaving anything on the table. With Alan’s help I was able to get into HBS, a school I never really thought I had a chance at. Alan makes sure to make you feel like his most important client and always gives an honest opinion. Alan was my confidant, navigator and mentor throughout my business school application process. I was accepted to HBS, GSB, Wharton, Kellogg and Yale SOM all because of his incredible guidance and leadership.

When I first met with Alan, my story felt very scientific and less business-ey. I am a behavioral scientist applying to business school, not a masters or PhD program. But with Alan’s help, we crafted a unique narrative that emerged as a business leadership superpower story and hit on all the points I wanted to weave into my application!

He would offer tidbits of advice, help revamp an essay structure, and meet with me at peculiar times to accommodate my full time work schedule. Alan helped me narrow down my list of schools to five target diverse schools and clearly outlined how to engage with my references to develop a holistic and compelling application.
