“Every MBA applicant I meet has something special to offer, and I love finding out what that is,” says Fortuna’s Rachel Erickson Hee, who was a Stanford GSB alumni interviewer for nearly two decades. “The more I probe, the more I find out reasons why that applicant would be a great addition to a business […]

With the help of Caroline, I managed to achieve an INSEAD offer which I am delighted with. Caroline (and her colleague at Fortuna, Matt Symonds) were a great help from the get-go. They helped me select the strongest parts of my application to craft my ‘story’ and provided helpful information and reassurance all the way through the video and in-person interviews. It took much of the stress and angst out of a nerve-wracking process so Thank you!
I received my dream offer to INSEAD (at round 4 with not very competitive scores), thanks to Caroline’s quick, efficient, and personalized advice along the way. I signed up for the CSP, but Caroline is there in providing tremendous support whenever I needed it. I have a very unique case that INSEAD requested a few communications and supporting documents before the final offer. Caroline knows the school inside out that she provided personalized and strategic advice in helping me handle the communications with the school. She and Melissa believe in my story and help me convey that in a genuine and concise way in presenting to the adcom. Once I was admitted, she was kind enough to have another call with me to share the tips in preparing for INSEAD and share with me INSEAD alumni association information in the bay area.
I can’t be happier that I’m heading to France and Singapore to have my MBA adventure in a few months because of Caroline’s help!
Caroline supported me from the very beginning when I was still preparing my GMAT. After getting a lower-than-average test score (below 700), she still continued his amazing support and did her best to compensate for this weakness in my profile. While I was getting turned down by another consultant who did not want to “touch” my application due to the low GMAT, she highlighted other strengths in my profile that eventually allowed me to gain admission in all the schools that I have applied to (MIT, INSEAD). Caroline’s expertise about MBA admissions and extensive network has been decisive and I don’t regret at all hiring her services. She knew where to focus our efforts (essays and letters of recommendation are too often underestimated) to make my application stand out among others. Thanks to her, I am now joining my dream school!! For anyone considering hiring a consultant, if you can afford it, please do it. This relatively small investment (in comparison to the cost of an MBA) can make a huge difference and you will never be disappointed with Caroline and the whole Fortuna team.
I am glad to have worked with Caroline while I was waitlisted from INSEAD, the only business school I applied to. Caroline was sharp and experienced in diagnosing what could be the “held-back” factor in my application and suggested for me to get a few reference letters from various people. She is also helpful in guiding what are the points that these reference letters need to cover for it to be useful to INSEAD. Thanks, Fortuna!
I am very happy to have worked with Fortuna Admissions and with Caroline Diarte Edwards for my admission to INSEAD from waitlist. When I applied, I pieced together what I thought was a strong application with help/proofreading from people who’ve been through the application process. Even so, I got waitlisted. What went wrong? After sifting through reviews, I decided to engage the services of Fortuna Admissions, and I got to work with Caroline, who I had hoped to work with. Caroline is easy to work with even through a 16-hour time difference. She is very thorough – she’ll ask for all details of your application, including interviews and recommendations. As past Director of Admissions, she has the ability to zoom in on all of those components and identify areas where the application might be weak. The expert perspective certainly helped me focus on where or what I could improve, and we worked together to polish my story. And through the process, I also felt that Caroline was personally invested in my success. I couldn’t recommend Caroline and Fortuna Admissions more. If you’re in the waitlist, consider their services to get admitted. If you’re just starting an application, their services could help you craft a seamless MBA application. All these provided you do your part, of course! Highly recommended!
I had been waitlisted by IMD and INSEAD and eventually admitted by both. Caroline went through my application and gave me a great suggestion on the strategy to take. I do not believe that a consultant can do the magic and get you in your favorite program if your application is not good enough, but they can certainly help you improve a few things, and Caroline had been great at doing so!!! Thanks a lot =)
Contacting Fortuna Admissions is easily one of the best decisions I have made in my business school journey. I had been skeptical of the value from consultants in the past. However, after facing four rejections, I decided to contact several consultants as a means of revamping my strategy and tactics. Caroline stood apart in being an active listener, empathetical, and neutral in offering comprehensive advice from the beginning, which continued throughout the entirety of my engagement with Fortuna. She was genuinely vested in my success and accessible in all stages, from pre-application school consideration, profile fit, to admissions committee communication and negotiations. As a matter of fact, she instructed me on how to leverage offers to maximize my position and secure scholarships. In the end, I was able to achieve two scholarships and a waitlist from top-ranked European schools and could not be more pleased with the outcome! I feel indebted to Caroline and her team for their pivotal support and enthusiasm. I would highly recommend Caroline and Fortuna Admissions to any and all business school applicants, as I have already done so to numerous friends and acquaintances.
I decided to use admissions consulting service at a pretty late stage for my application. After reviewing several companies and talking to some of them, I instantly decided to work with Fortuna after talking with Matt, who knows everything about the biz school dynamics and gave me so much encouragement. I worked with Caroline, whom I believe is the best fit coach especially if you want to apply for INSEAD. I finally got admitted by INSEAD with scholarship and Judge. Thanks, Caroline!
As a film producer with a background in PR, I knew setting my sights on the top MBA programs in Europe was going to be a challenge. I had the literal fortune of finding Fortuna Admissions, and on the heels of a great initial conversation with Matt Symonds, I knew that Fortuna was the firm that would help me achieve my MBA aspirations. Once I spoke with my advisors Melissa and Caroline, I was certain I had made the right choice. They are the perfect combination of positive and realistic, warm yet demanding, and help you bring nothing less than your best self to the table. They were able to help me build a narrative that highlighted my unconventional skills and achievements in a way that was both compelling and attractive, and helped me understand exactly what each school I applied to was looking for. Thanks to their exceptional guidance, I was admitted into INSEAD, Cambridge Judge and Oxford Said, and was offered interviews for both IE and ESADE. Working with Fortuna is the single best decision I made before applying and I would strongly encourage anyone looking to apply to an MBA to choose Fortuna. Their collective experience working on the inside of the world’s top business schools, their keen insight into the specifics that will make candidates stand out, and their meticulous process in crafting applications, is truly a winning combination. For me, it resulted in the best possible outcome and I am truly grateful for having had such a strong, dynamic and wonderful team on my side.
Working with Fortuna transformed the anxiety of applying to a business school to an engaging 10 week self-discovery and planning process. The sincerity of feedback during my introductory call with Matt identified the strength of my profile versus the expectations of my target school (INSEAD). 30 minutes into the call I was confident that Fortuna team was the right advisor to support me in the application process. I worked with Susanne and Caroline extensively through my application process. Their depth of understanding of INSEAD and the breadth of experience in handling students of diverse back grounds was evident in our strategy discussion for positioning my profile appropriately to the school. The insights were so specific that essay development and resume building became simpler and compelling. By the time I finished my application and interviews, I was satisfied that the pricing of Fortuna commensurates the quality of its advice and level of support received. Personally, I admired Susanne and Caroline on their ability to provide that bit of personal touch while making recommendations or while lifting morale. The warmth in our engagement has developed a bond and expanded my advisor network that makes my relationship with the Fortuna team go beyond the business school application process.
