I think you have a lot going for you – robust work experience, solid academics (GPA and GMAT), CPA, student leadership roles on campus and interesting personal interests (wow! ice trekking in Patagonia!) Given that you already have a very strong finance background (and a Masters in Accounting), it is important that you are clear about what an MBA can give you, and how it can help you achieve your future career goals. Consider explaining in your application why you’d like to pivot now to work for a consulting firm. Further, although you’ll be a generalist when you first start with a consulting firm, are there specific industries or areas that you are interested in long-term? All these points can help the Admissions Committee better understand your goals, passions, and motivations.
