Congrats on your invite to interview at LBS. I really like your chances there. You have the basic stats, graduated from a terrific school, and already leveraged an i-banking job into a VC position. Your impact investing bent and your accomplishment in helping fund education for children in rural India is icing on the cake. Unless you completely bomb that interview, you should be getting an invite from London Business School.
Mr. Impact Financier: Emily here from The MBA Exchange. I agree with John in that you seem like a great fit at LBS and the invitation to interview is a very strong sign. Hi, Mr. Impact Financier, Julie-Anne Heafey here from mbaMission. While impact investing can be overrepresented as a goal (and challenging to break into for the uninitiated), you have already been making waves in that sector. Congrats on your interview invitation! I too think your chances of an offer at LBS are very good. . Have you read up about the interview process there? It’s a little different from some other MBA interviews because it includes a “mini case.” We have an interview guide on the mbaMission web site if you want to read more about the process. Best of luck!

You have some great things to talk about, your success in the Global Impact Fund challenge should provide solid examples to highlight your skills including leadership, quant and communication.
