Founded in 2001, Kennesaw State University’s online MBA program, WebMBA, offers a tight-knit cohort of students and professors and an integrated curriculum.
A TEAM-BASED APPROACH
One of the key highlights of Kennesaw’s WebMBA is the team-based approach to learning.
Students who begin the program at the same time constitute a cohort. Throughout the duration of the program, each cohort progresses together by taking the same courses in the same sequence.
In turn, this team-based approach promotes efficient student interactions, peer-to-peer learning, and strong relationships.
“The team-based approach of the KSU WebMBA program allows our students to leverage the diverse experiences and unique skill sets they collectively bring to the program,” Raushanah Butler, MBA engagement and operations coordinator at Kennesaw, says.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
Students enrolled at Kennessaw’s WebMBA complete ten prescribed graduate business courses for a total of 30 credit hours by the time they graduate.
The program offers two three-semester-hour courses each semester for a total of five semesters, or roughly over a year and a half.
In total, that’s still six fewer credit hours required when compared to Kennesaw’s traditional on-campus MBA program.
“Students can expect the WebMBA curriculum to be rigorous in terms of the content, and strategic in terms of the delivery,” Raushanah says. “It is comparable to our on-campus MBA curriculum, and leads to the same degree/diploma our on-campus students earn.”
For working professionals looking to get a traditional MBA education in a shorter time, the accelerated nature of the WebMBA program may be attractive.
“Our WebMBA is a streamlined, rigorous MBA program requiring six fewer credit hours than our traditional (on-campus) program,” Raushanah says. “This streamlined nature provides students with an exceptional graduate level education in the core business disciplines.”
