Conveniently located in the suburb of Elmhurst, Illinois, about 16 miles west of downtown Chicago, Elmhurst University offers an affordable and flexible MBA degree – on campus or online.

The Elmhurst MBA is for all. The B-school doesn’t require incoming students to have a business background. In fact, about 40% of their students don’t have business undergraduate degrees or even work in business sectors.

Most students are business professionals who have been in the workplace for at least three years, and with them they bring valuable and of course diverse experience to the classroom.

The MBA can be completed full-time or part-time. The part-time program takes just under two years to finish, and the full-time program takes just one year to finish. The curriculum holds six core courses with four electives in a specialization, for a total of 30 semester hours. In the first year, MBAs take courses alongside their cohort but in their second year, MBAs branch off and study with other cohorts.

They take customization seriously at Elmhurst. A wide array of specializations are offered, including Computer Information Technology, Data Science and Analytics, Finance, General Management, Health Care Administration, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Management of People, Managerial Leadership, Marketing and Consumer Insights, Project Management, and Supply Chain Management.

“Being a people leader has been a recurring theme throughout my career, and it is a major reason why I am committed to the success of others. I am driven to help our students achieve their next level of success,” says MBA Program Director Lawrence Brown on Elmhurst’s website.
