The D’Amore-McKim School of Business MBA: What You Need To Know

The D’Amore-McKim School of Business curriculum strives to integrate real-world experience with a sturdy academic structure. The full-time MBA program is a 55-credit program that can be completed in 24 months of full-time study. The school year commences with MBA foundation courses and a career management course, and the full-time academic cohort cultivates an intimate setting for building strong networks both personally and professionally.

D’Amore’s second term offers concentration and elective courses. These first-year classes ensure a solid foundation for D’Amore’s signature second-year experiential learning opportunity. One can expect a three- or six-month paid corporate residency as well as the option for two six-month residencies. This corporate residency program gives students a strong foundation in business knowledge while encouraging the development and acquisition of practical experience.

Students will manage essential projects, interact with actual business executives, and expand their professional networks. They also will pursue experiential opportunities in their career track of choice, be it Finance, Marketing, or Operations and Supply Chain Management. And it’s worth noting that most MBA programs only offer three-month residency programs, while D’Amore flaunts a lengthier and more impressive span.

The remainder of D’Amore’s MBA credits are earned through interdisciplinary learning of which one can choose a concentration from any of the university’s five schools and colleges, providing students the ability to enhance their core concentrations to better align with their prospective career path.

Because we live in a world where technology has become a pillar of global business, D’Amore has introduced a new business education model. This MBA degree is designed to prepare students for the expansion of global technology and the development of unforeseen possibilities, while also maintaining a core of comprehensive business and leadership skills. Its first term starts with MBA foundation courses and career management classes; the second semester marks the beginning of classes in students’ business concentration of choice. In addition to Finance, Marketing, or Operations and Supply Chain Management, students also may opt for a concentration in Computer Science.

Throughout the summer, D’Amore also offers a 3-credit international field study program teaching students to thrive in international business relations. With today’s competitive global market, the opportunity to immerse oneself in international issues is invaluable.

D’Amore, overall, offers a well-rounded MBA program with an assortment of elite opportunities for full-time MBA students. If you’re someone looking for a school that values experiential and collaborative learning, this may be the one for you.
