Prospective students often spend hundreds of hours prepping for the exam, in part because it assumes such outsized influence on whether a candidate will be accepted to a highly selective MBA program. Now there’s a way to gain a sense for how well you’ll do on the test–without having to take the test. The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business is offering for free a GMAT simulation test. This is a lightweight version of the real thing, something to let you know what you’re really in for when you sit down and take the big test. Booth has broken down its simulation into three categories, ranging from one version that takes all of 20 minutes to another that takes half the time of the real thing. And then, there is the two-and-one-half-hour simulation that will give you the best idea of where you really stand. MICRO GMAT SIMULATION TEST The Booth Micro Test consists of five Quantitative (Math) questions and five Verbal (English) questions. You have 20 minutes for this test. Booth does not provide score estimates for micro tests. MINI GMAT SIMULATION TEST The Mini Test will simulate the GMAT in about half the time and half the questions. You will get a rough score estimate at the end of the test. FULL GMAT SIMULATION TEST Our Full Test simulates the GMAT’s Quantitative (Math) and Verbal (English) sections. Each section takes 75 minutes and contains about 40 questions. This test will give you the best score estimation. Check it out here.
