Looking back on your experience, what advice would you give to future business school applicants? Carve out dedicated time to study for the GMAT and take your time writing your essays. Be sure that it is your voice coming through your essays so the admissions office can get a better sense of who you are. So much of your time is dedicated to getting into the best school, but make sure to think about whether it is the right school for your success. Remember to breathe in your interview, and that it is never the end of the world.

What led you to choose this program for your full-time MBA? The school culture at Kelley. It was an intangible that you canā€™t experience unless you visit, and once you do, youā€™ll understand. I was blown away by my experience at Kelley and the sense of community that they have worked to create here. There are many graduate schools where students feel like another number, or find difficultly adjusting to the programā€™s culture. For me, it was important to find a school with the right fit. Kelley ultimately ended up being a place that felt like home.

Tell us about your dream job or dream employer at this point in your life? At this point in my career, it would be Eli Lilly. It would be a great experience to go work for a company that continues to invest in the research and the development of new cutting edge pharmaceuticals. As a professional, I feel strongly that enjoying where you work is being able to go to work for a company that you can believe in and whose values align with your own. They are a company and a brand that continues to excel, pushing their research to bring new cures to market.

What would you like your business school peers to say about you after you graduate from this program? Matthew was a charismatic peer who was willing to listen, willing to help, and developed into a leader.
