A reputation ranking? That’s what Perception involves: a survey of employers, professionals, and academics. In a twist, IIM Bangalore earned a perfect mark, besting IIM Ahmedabad by nearly four points. Here, Perception often equates to ranking. That said, IIM Calcutta doled out some revenge on IIM Kozhikode for kicking them out of the Top 3 with a score that was over 10 points better than their Kerala counterparts. IIT Madras’ 60.42 score punched above its ranking weight, while the National Institute of Industrial Engineering in Mumbai – ranked 7th overall – produced a 19.03 score that ranked as the worst in the Top 20. In fact, it was the worst score in any dimension.
