When you think of Notre Dame, what are the first things that come to mind? College Football, an auspicious space to learn with very talented individuals and a cozy community.

 How have your experiences with the Mendoza program thus far reinforced or upended these early impressions? Reinforced!! When I came to Notre Dame, I felt a sense of pride and peace. How fortunate I am to attend such an institution. The football games are everything I would have imagined them to be. Last but not least the people are welcoming and steady.

Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of the Mendoza MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? The outcomes of prior students. The fact that over 95% secured jobs within 3 months of graduation was very satisfying. Additionally, the career coaches have been helpful with the job hunt and successful outcomes.

What course, club or activity have you enjoyed the most so far at Mendoza? I haven’t got to participate just yet, but I am extremely excited to join the Bowling Club. I don’t like to brag about my affinity for bowling, but I have my own shoes and ball. You could say it might be a serious hobby of mine.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far:   I led a process improvement project at Hallmark Cards to save over $100,000.

I was able to manage and raise over $30,000 for my National Society of Black Engineer Chapter at the University of Missouri – Columbia

Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far?

  • Obtaining an internship with IBM Financial Leadership Development Program
  • Finishing the Fall semester with a 3.0.

Mendoza is known as a purpose-driven MBA program that asks students to “Grow the good in business.” What is your mission and how has Mendoza been helping you realize it? My mission has been to increase my overall knowledge of financial literacy. But after being here for a few months, I feel like I need to take this time to explore my resources to make this kind of information fun and accessible to many outside of myself.

What has been your best memory as an MBA so far? My best memory as an MBA has been when we tailgate and watch football games. I cannot tell you how thrilling that stadium can be!!
