How has the case method enriched your learning?  I love how engaging the learning process is with the case method – from individual preparation to class discussions. Each case provides us with the opportunity to practice working on real business challenges in a risk-free environment.

Preparing a case is a great chance for me to test my knowledge, apply what I’ve learned to date, and imagine how I might apply these concepts in a career post-MBA. Furthermore, the learning that happens in the classroom throughout case discussions has been incredibly valuable. Getting to learn from my peers, who each have vastly different experiences and perspectives, has been a highlight of my MBA.

Aside from classmates and cases, what part of the school’s MBA programming led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? When choosing an MBA program, I placed high value on the culture and community of the school. In speaking with Ivey MBA alumnus, it was clear that this program created a very supportive, motivating and caring environment which results in a great community feeling amongst students. From my first conversations with the admissions teams, to interactions with faculty and working with my peers, I have felt supported and valued as a member of the 2025 MBA class.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: My biggest accomplishment in my career to date would be winning the “Most Sustainable Improvement” award for a process improvement project that I led as part of my Lean Six Sigma certification. Completing that project not only developed my skills as a project leader, but allowed me to make a difference within the team while discovering an area of work that I truly enjoy.

Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far: My biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far has been overcoming my fear of failure. As someone who has a non-traditional background, I knew certain classes would involve a steep learning curve. In the past, the fear of failing or making mistakes has prevented me from taking the next step. I am proud of how I’ve jumped into the program and embraced the entire learning process.

What has been your most memorable experience as an Ivey MBA thus far?My most memorable experience as an Ivey MBA would be the first 24-Hour Report. The 24-Hour Reports are a staple of the Ivey MBA program, and something that every alumnus speaks about when you ask them about the program. Working on and completing my first 24-Hour Report was one of those moments where I realized, ‘Wow, after planning and talking about doing my MBA for so long, I am here and doing it’.

Where is your favorite hang-out in London (Ontario)? Why do you (or your classmates) gravitate there? My favorite place to hang-out in London is Barney’s. It’s a great patio to enjoy the summer weather, which makes it the perfect place to grab a drink with friends – especially after an exam!

What do you hope to do after graduation (at this point)? After graduation, I hope to apply my newly acquired business knowledge in a way that helps Canadians.
