At UNC, I’ll join the bass fishing club. Using connections from fishing club and my MBA program, I intend to exit into a marketing role for an outdoors company. Think BPS, Dicks, Yeti. 10 years from then, I will leverage these outdoors industry connections to start a non-profit focused on ensuring access to the outdoors and fishing for children.

They have a pretty healthy acceptance rate to begin with (about 50% according to P&Q) and your GRE is well above their 317 average. Mostly though, I really like the passion that you have for the outdoors and fishing, and how you want to meld that passion with your work. So look at that—we can all learn. There is an active Net Impact club at Kenan-Flagler and I think you’d also find some benefits from that.
