Candidate:

Mr. Indian Entrepreneur

About Me:

Rising from low GPA of my UG days, I have had a great professional life. Worked in one of India’s largest companies – Voltas and managed projects worth USD 50 million during my time there. Following this i joined my family business in the manufacturing space and currently 80 of 400 employees are reporting to me. I run an event management venture as well where I organized some major events with up to 3000 attendees. My GMAT at 690 is right on the average for HEC Paris and my other target schools. However, I am aware that Indians are a competitive bunch and I am working to improve this score as well.

Managed the 80 employees under my care who were placed in quarantine during lockdown of the city. Including providing for all their needs and necessities when everything was closed. At the same time managed to manufacture and donate 800 face shields with available materials to a local hospital. Won landmark bid for a project in south India while working at Voltas. Was the largest project bagged by the branch in the year. project was valued at 2 million USD. Was able to convince management to bid for the project even though they were not keen to do so. Was able to bag the project and complete it with healthy margins.

Post MBA Goal:

Post MBA I want to work in an operations role as that is where my expertise lies. Preferably I want to work in the supply chain sector. With advancing technology I feel this sector has a good potential for disruption. Once I gain experience in the field by working at a large company like Nestle, I want to start my own venture to make supply chains greener.
