I began working with Silpa late in 2022 when I began the MBA application process and was immediately overwhelmed. As an applicant coming from a non-business background, I felt thoroughly unprepared to navigate the process alone, but during the Fortuna “sales pitch” call, Silpa immediately stood out to me as someone who would be deeply knowledgeable and highly supportive.
During the last 6 months, Silpa really honed in on crafting a strong narrative to explain my work and education experiences, and how they could positively impact my future career. Throughout the entire process, Silpa was very responsive, providing thoughtful critiques on essays and meeting regularly to help perfect each aspect of my application.
I am thrilled to be accepting a seat in Cornell’s Class of 2025 with a full-merit scholarship; I truly believe I would not have earned this opportunity without Silpa’s diligence.
Sharon is the best partner you can have on your MBA application journey. I opted for a 2 school comprehensive package, working with her on my R1 applications. With her guidance and support, I was admitted to Berkeley Haas (with a scholarship)!
Sharon played an integral role each step of the way – especially at the beginning, holding multiple brainstorming sessions (and incorporating insights from specialized tools like CliftonStrengths) to help me craft my larger narrative. Committing that initial time and effort paid dividends down the road, making subsequent essay writing (and interview prep) much more straightforward. This was even more so the case because she helped organize the entire process into bite-sized tasks with clear timelines on my calendar, so I can focus on each aspect of my applications one at a time without being bogged down by thinking about the whole.
Sharon is direct and transparent, which I found valuable for a few reasons: (1) we were able to efficiently reshape/trim down my essays avoiding unnecessary back-and-forth (in fact, she once helped me cut >1,000 words from a first draft in the span of a single call, which I don’t think could have been possible had it not been for her brutal honesty), and (2) I could trust her compliments / positive feedback when she liked something out of the gate. That being said, she always exuded optimism, warmth, and kindness in our interactions, occasionally sending notes of encouragement to ease stress / keep me motivated.
Finally, as an ex-Haas adcom, Sharon was able to enrich my understanding of the school’s norms and culture as well as their evaluation criteria. Thanks to her direction, I was able to network with a diverse group of students and staff to tailor my application and sharpen my interview responses to perfectly align with Haas’s ethos. That insider’s edge was instrumental in making me feel confident and place my best foot forward.
I am deeply grateful to Sharon for her expertise, patience, and down-to-earth support – don’t think I could have just as easily navigated this journey without her. If you are looking for an excellent MBA coach who can help you get into the best schools possible, you cannot go wrong with Sharon!
I decided to work with Patty for a few reasons, but the deciding factor was that she believed in me; from our first conversation, I truly felt like she understood my story and believed I had a fighting chance at getting into my first-choice schools. Her confidence and support did not waiver.
Patty and I worked together on my two R1 full-time MBA applications (i.e., Stanford, MIT). For context, we worked together on an hourly basis as I had a good sense of what schools I wanted to apply to, why I felt like they were a good fit, and generally what I wanted to do post-MBA. I was seeking support with defining and curating my story in order to put the best application forward.
Patty was exactly what I needed. In addition to reading every iteration of my application – from my resume to essays to questionnaires – she helped me refine and perfect my story. She was quick to reply with thoughtful feedback and continued to follow up with me after my applications were submitted. I am extremely happy with the results – I will be joining MIT Sloan’s MBA Class of 2025. I couldn’t have done it without Patty.
Prepare to be blown away by the exceptional interview preparation services provided by Silpa! With a meticulous approach, Silpa helped me craft customized answers to a plethora of challenging questions and calmed my nerves before the interview. In record time, Silpa provided me with quick and efficient feedback, ensuring that I remained on track and focused on the most important topics. She even went above and beyond to help me craft a stellar thank-you note for my interviewer.
Silpa’s guidance throughout the process was truly invaluable, and I am thrilled to report that I was able to secure admission to the top US schools for which I enrolled her services. If you’re looking for an effective coaching session that will help you reach your academic goals, Silpa is a clear choice.
Patty K is an exceptional MBA admissions consultant with a wealth of experience in the industry. Her knowledge and expertise were incredibly helpful for me, and her prominent and extensive career as a former adcom member translated into incredible support through the application process.
Patty K was able to help me gain admission to multiple top business schools, despite my over-represented background, which is a testament to her skills and abilities. I was admitted to Wharton, Booth, Columbia, and NYU, much as a result of the help of Patty and the Fortuna process.
Throughout the application, Patty K was incredibly responsive and attentive to my needs, often responding to my questions after midnight and/or before 6 am (she is a workhorse!). She was always available to answer my questions and provide guidance, on a timeline that well exceeded any reasonable expectation, which helped to ease my anxiety throughout the process. She provided valuable support on all facets of the application – resume, essays, supplemental information, and interview prep, which helped me to present the best version of myself to the admissions committees.
Overall, I would highly recommend Patty K to anyone who is looking for an MBA admissions consultant. She is not only incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in the field, but also truly cares about the success of her clients. Thanks to her guidance, I was admitted to my dream schools, and with her help you will achieve your goals as well.
Melissa is so experienced in the application process. Working with her saved me a lot of time and made me much less worried during the MBA application process. Her knowledge helped me to find the best approach to present my stories. I recommend Melissa to anyone interested in applying for top MBA programs.
Heidi helped me throughout the process and was really a partner in brainstorming my essays and helping me think through the best stories to use throughout my applications. I really appreciated the fact that she let my voice shine through my essays, and that she helped me manage my time throughout the whole process. She was also super responsive and easy to work with, which I really appreciated given my work schedule. Working with Heidi was so critical in my application process, and I could not recommend her more!!
Karen was so incredibly helpful throughout the entire application process. From day one, helping me reflect on my past experiences, identify what was most meaningful to me, and then honestly look at what I wanted to do with my career, she asked the questions that empowered me to define a vision for my life and craft the story for business school. She was also able to see with clarity where my most unique and significant achievements and experiences were, not only enabling me to highlight those aspects of me but bolstering my confidence as I embarked on the daunting application process. She was also instrumental in allowing my voice to shine through in my essays so that my personality came through and my stories were powerful and engaging. Additionally, during the late stages of the round 1 process in August, when deadlines approached and the stress reached the highest levels, she was able to reassure me yet be realistic in the actionable steps I needed to complete and when I needed to do them by. All in all, she was critical in making the process as painless as possible and the end result was getting into my top choice M7 with a scholarship!
Silpa was an incredible advisor during the application process. She takes the time to truly know you, your aspirations, and your story. Silpa is very intelligent, professional, and qualified (previous experience in admissions at GSB), putting her in a category by herself. I had full confidence in Silpa throughout the entire process. We had an hourly engagement where I was able to focus our time on what I chose. Silpa was extremely accommodating to busy schedules and was particularly flexible in the week prior to the deadlines, even going above and beyond the normal call of duty. Ultimately, I was admitted to Harvard, Columbia, and MIT. I would highly recommend Silpa to anyone considering applying for an MBA.
“These b-schools are hyper-competitive and I don’t see components that meet the bar.”
This stupendously demotivating piece of advice is the first piece of feedback that I received from an admissions consultant. Partly, I can’t blame them – I’m a part of the infamous IT Indian male cohort. And I’m a reapplicant.
Emma, on the other hand, went against the grain, took a step further, and dove deeper into my profile. What she really excels at is understanding which parts of an applicant’s character, work experience, and extra-curricular appeal to the folks sitting in the admissions office at the absolute top-notch international b-schools. From our very first meeting, I saw her experience stand out. With the dexterity of a well-seasoned surgeon, she cut into my character to understand which parts of the story can be tailored to craft the perfect reapplication and stand out in an over-represented group.
She infused my application with, as a Gen Z faithful would say, “main-character energy” (words from my little cousin, not me.) I was reassured that I was in good hands, especially given the financial burden of such services.
The essays were as smooth as can be – each iterative feedback loop was productive, with clear TODOs and the reasons behind proposed changes.
The video essays were the highlight of the service – Emma, being an interviewer herself, was exceptional at giving me a blunt assessment of my mannerisms, for e.g. telling me when my body language was off. This piece of advice seeped into my in-person interviews as well.
At the end of this process, I’m proud to say that I got to choose between 3 top business schools, including INSEAD, and LBS. And with scholarships from INSEAD and LBS! A privileged position to be in, a position that couldn’t have been reached without Emma.
I interviewed 6+ consultants before deciding on Karen. Unlike multiple other individuals I spoke with, Karen was supportive and encouraging from day 1. Other consultants tried to make me feel like a candidate who had a very uncertain path to my dream school. Karen was encouraging and optimistic, but still honest about the unpredictability of M7 admissions, even for candidates with strong stats and backgrounds. When we began working together, Karen up-leveled each and every part of my application. From the resume to my recommender briefs, to my essays, Karen consistently pushed me to be not just good, but excellent. She was available whenever I needed her and went above and beyond for me; I really felt that she was invested in my success and my story. I highly recommend Karen to anyone looking for a consultant that will allow them to put their best foot forward to schools.
I can’t imagine going through the MBA admissions process without Melissa Jones at Fortuna. Melissa’s positivity and clear understanding of the process from the initial consultation made working with her one of my easiest decisions. Coming from a nontraditional background, with a low test score, and an unclear idea of post-MBA industry/goals, I never thought I would have a chance of getting into multiple US top schools, let alone my dream school (Columbia). Melissa supported me through the entire process, from helping me determine a school list and establish a clear post-MBA vision to cheering me on through multiple poor test attempts.
Melissa is incredibly mindful of deadlines and her diligence is exactly what I needed to stay on track with all aspects of each application. Her prompt communication and thorough reviews always made me feel like I was her only client!
I am appreciative of the time Melissa spent genuinely getting to know me early on in the process, making me self-reflect, play to my strengths, and really stand out with essays and overall applications that I’m still proud of. She is an encouraging coach who truly cares and is there every step of the way – from resume building to interview prep to everything in between. Melissa knows and understands the admissions process inside and out and certainly made the process fun and the least stressful as it could’ve been. I feel very lucky to have had her through it all and recommend her to anyone.
If you are considering hiring an MBA consultant and reading this, don’t waste your time with anyone else. The headline says it all – Karla is unbeatable! She is deeply knowledgeable about each of the top MBA programs and brings an insider’s perspective to the application process. From essays to interview coaching, Karla is an incredible coach. She was unbelievably patient with me while we worked together preparing applications over a 3 month period, and she spent countless hours with me at all hours of the morning and night meticulously helping me package and communicate my experiences in a compelling manner. She is, without a doubt in my mind, a best-in-class consultant and I could not more highly recommend working with her! On top of her intense commitment to her clients, she is a wonderful human and someone I am glad to call my friend after working together so closely in preparing for applications and interviews.
Highly highly recommend Heidi as a consultant. She helped me throughout the process – all the way from brainstorming which business schools to helping me develop my story to getting admitted into CBS/Wharton and making a final pick. I really enjoyed working with her. I purchased a 3 school-MBA package and added on a fourth school later as well, and got personalized consulting help for all the applications I submitted. She struck a great balance of providing honest and candid feedback, while also being super supportive in helping me curate an application that I was proud of. Couldn’t recommend working with her enough!
It has been such a pleasure to work with Silpa on my full-time MBA applications to Kellogg (A), Tuck (A), and GSB (WL). I’m grateful for her advice and guidance throughout the application cycle.
When I started this process in June last year, I didn’t think that I had a shot at getting into any business school with my low undergraduate GPA, nontraditional major, average test score, and nonlinear personal and professional path. I wanted to work with an admissions coach who would believe in me and encourage me to shine a light on my story instead of shying away from it. Right from the beginning, Silpa was pragmatic about my chances yet committed to my success.
Silpa is super warm, easy to connect with, and an incredible listener. She’d often nudge me to lean into my personal story without losing focus on highlighting my professional strengths and career aspirations. This was critical in helping me write essays that were clear, concise, and accurately reflected who I am without diminishing the uniqueness of my candidacy.
There were times when I was overwhelmed during the application process and really doubted my ability to pull through. But knowing that I had someone like Silpa in my corner, rooting for my success and offering affirmations and guidance, really encouraged me to keep going. I highly, highly recommend her!
I wasn’t planning on working with an admissions consultant, but when I got to the application essays, I hit a roadblock. I struggled with developing a cohesive story and expressing my passion for the programs. I also had difficulty finding a balance between sharing my true self and highlighting the key attributes that I knew the Admissions Committee would be looking for.
Based on my needs, I decided to work with a consultant on an hourly basis. After speaking with a few firms, I chose to work with Emma due to her deep knowledge of European business schools, but also simply because I thought we connected well. Throughout the process, Emma provided prompt and honest feedback. However, what struck me most was how much she cared. Despite having a busy schedule, I never felt that she was rushing through my edits. Emma took the time to truly understand the story I was trying to convey and then helped me refine and package it.
Emma and I primarily worked together on my essays for LBS and Cambridge. However, I was also able to apply her feedback to my other applications. Thanks to her help, I received offers of admission from all four of the schools I applied to and fellowships from three of them.
It was an amazing experience working with Heidi on my MBA application process. I worked with Heidi for a 3-school comprehensive package and first spoke to her in April last year. She very clearly outlined the different steps of the application process and made me feel equipped to remain on track. I am very thankful for how she pushed me to not only better narrate my experiences but really search for “my why” in my experiences. As a result, I applied to 6 M7 schools in Round 1 and received admissions from 4 of them. She has been an incredible listening ear and partner in the MBA application process and I will 1000% do it again with her if I could.
I could not recommend working with Sharon Joyce more highly! I purchased a 1-school package and then added on hourly essay reviews as needed. With Sharon’s support, I was admitted to Wharton, CBS, Dartmouth Tuck (with scholarship), Yale SOM (with scholarship), Duke Fuqua (with scholarship), UVA Darden (with scholarship), and NYU Stern (with scholarship).
Sharon helped me with the lift of applying to 8 schools R1. In addition to helping me get acceptances at 7/8 of these schools, Sharon made me feel supported throughout the entire admissions process. I was particularly impressed with how she took the time to get to know me as a person outside of my career journey alone. It meant a lot to me that she remembered what I shared and later brought up these points as I was crafting essays or preparing interview answers. This made me feel she was truly invested in my success.
In our first few meetings, Sharon helped me think strategically about how to position my story. During this phase, she shared exercises to think about my strengths and brainstorm what career environments would be most appealing to me (ex: more established firm vs. startup, etc). This foundational work became the basis for my application and paid dividends throughout the entire process.
Beyond the initial application crafting, Sharon eliminated a lot of stress by helping me engage with my recommenders most effectively, craft the most impactful essays I could, and prepare for interviews. She gave me a lot of tips I could not have found anywhere online, which removed anxiety from each milestone in the application journey.
I would recommend Sharon to anyone applying to top MBA programs for not only her expertise, but also for her kindness, empathy, and dedication to what she does. You can’t go wrong working with Sharon!
Silpa helped guide me through what can be a very confusing process at times. Everyone is so familiar with their own story that it can be hard to tell what makes you stand out vs. all the other qualified candidates. Silpa takes the time to get to know her clients and is great at identifying a couple of things that make them unique. I am truly grateful to have gotten to work with her and happy to report that the process resulted in a ticket to Booth.
Michel was instrumental in my application process to five business schools. I truly don’t think I could have done it without her, and definitely wouldn’t have achieved the same result without her expertise and guidance. Michel was always responsive and easy to work with, gave great feedback, and kept me organized as each deadline approached. She helped guide me in my essays to achieve the best outcome and was thorough in her approach and guidance. In the end, I was accepted to 3 of 5 business schools I applied to and I would 100% recommend Michel to anyone thinking about applying to business school!
Working with Emma was an absolute pleasure! I sought her out specifically for help with my LBS application and interview prep because as an American applicant, I felt like I had less insight on the LBS MBA process relative to US programs. I purchased the admissions director review package, and Emma provided multiple rounds of direct, candid, and invaluable feedback that helped refine my essays, resume, and short response answers. She has intimate knowledge of exactly what the LBS adcom likes to see in applicants and certainly spent more time with me than what was included in my package. Emma truly cares about the quality of her clients’ applications and went above and beyond to help me put my best foot forward. She is absolutely deserving of her reputation as one of the top LBS consultants out there, and I could not recommend her more highly.
Bill was so professional when he coached me to chase my EMBA application. It’s highly efficient under the former gatekeeper of a top business school like Bill, preventing me from endlessly guessing what the adcom wants to know from me and focusing on the truly mattered aspects. Bill always responded to my email within 24 hours and was always prepared to call when I need one. He also had a mock interview with me. I couldn’t get the offer from Wharton without Bill’s help. He will be your best partner on your way to the application.
Words can not express my gratitude for Bill’s guidance and encouragement during my EMBA application to Booth and Wharton. I found Bill’s advice and perspectives extremely valuable as I progressed through the application process. He helped give me more confidence and I’m sure anyone who applies to these programs for the first time. I was able to receive offers from both of the above programs I applied to.
Heidi was integral to my MBA application success! I didn’t even have a good idea of what schools I wanted to pursue when I initially approached Heidi. She pushed me to get more tactical in understanding my MBA goals and selecting the schools that would allow me to achieve those goals.
I purchased a 3-school comprehensive package with her and one school on an hourly basis, and she carefully thought through what application to start with to make sure I had a good template essay for the remainder of my schools (even the one I didn’t get the comprehensive package for). I really appreciated her candid and responsive feedback throughout the entire process. She made sure that I was happy with the personal narrative I wanted to tell these schools and even when I was waitlisted at one of my schools, she helped me through the process, and I was eventually admitted!
If I had to do this process all over again, I would 100% choose Heidi! I was so insecure about my GMAT score, but she made sure other areas of my profile shined and never made me feel that I was a lost cause because of my score.
I worked with Emma on a 2-school package offered by Fortuna Admissions. First, I had a fit call with her wherein we discussed my past experiences (both personal and professional), goals, MBA programmes I am interested in, and preferences. She came across as an empathetic, honest, friendly, and highly knowledgeable professional; working with her through the admission process I can guarantee you she is all this and much more!
1. After the fit call, Emma and I had a comprehensive discussion to shortlist the programmes I am interested in. She not only discussed the timelines for each application but also made me aware of her working style and was interested to learn about my style as well to make sure we were on the same page. I also filled an exhaustive questionnaire to help Emma understand my experiences and achievements.
2. I was in parallel preparing for my GMAT when we started work on my first application. Emma was highly thoughtful in deciding the to-do tasks as I balanced my job, GMAT prep, and application work.
Coming to the essays, Emma really understood my story and knew exactly the things we need to highlight (this varies from school to school as we had a brainstorming session for each school before starting work on its application). I always had an issue with going over the word limit, but with Emma’s magic, each essay of mine was concise, conveyed the story, and made an impact. When you work with Emma, each word in the essay is there for a reason and she always pushes you in the right direction to extract the so-what aspect of the story and keeps a check on how it aligns with your overall application. She doesn’t shy away from multiple reads and edits of the same essay (resume and LoRs as well) until it is in the best shape. You will never waste time in the process since Emma is super responsive and her turnaround time is commendable.
3. Emma made sure to leverage multiple avenues to portray the various positives in my story. With 16+ years of experience and front-end knowledge, she has unique insights into the admission process and is aware of what the schools are seeking. She judiciously placed content in my essays, resume and LoRs – each of these reflected different attributes of mine but provided a holistic picture of me and my story. Special shoutout to Jody Keating from the Fortuna Admissions team for all the resume help!
4. Once I received an interview invite, Emma prepped me for both the video and main interview. For both the interviews, she first conducted a mock with me to assess my responses and then provided actionable constructive feedback to refine my responses. Leveraging her experience, she also helped me with smart tricks to enhance the answers and make them relevant to the school. Her guidance isn’t limited to just the content of the answers, but also includes tips on body language, camera setting, pace of speaking, etc. Needless to say, many of the questions which Emma discussed with me were part of the interviews.
5. I applied to LBS along with one of the top 3 European schools and a T15 US school (I took hourly support from Emma for the 3rd school). I received an admit with scholarship from both LBS and the European school but have been waitlisted at the US school. I worked with Emma to appeal for scholarships as well and she totally understood my financial situation and did her best here too. In my opinion, there is no one better than Emma to help you with LBS and the European schools; but the main advantage of working with Fortuna Admissions is the wealth of knowledge they have of every top B-school. When I was applying to the US school as well, Emma reached out to her colleagues who are well aware of the school and got my application reviewed so that we were not missing out on anything.
I consider myself luckiest to have worked with Emma for my MBA admissions. She is much more than a professional consultant and the best thing about her is how real and humane she is. I have been extremely comfortable discussing sensitive personal experiences with her and love the fact that she understands the place I am coming from and doesn’t judge. Through this journey, there have been multiple phases of anxiety (be it work travel or hardware issues during my interview), but Emma has ALWAYS been a message away and never made me feel guilty about my mistakes – rather she comes with a practical solution to counter the challenge. She is a thorough professional and makes sure your applications are a top priority even when she is taking a well-deserved break to meet her family after 3 years. She has done much more than just applications for me, including checking the emails I write to the schools, giving me contacts to connect with, or clearing my countless silly doubts. Don’t think twice and just go ahead with Emma – you’ll gain a coach, a mentor, and a friend!
I couldn’t have achieved this without you, so THANK YOU, Emma. Forever grateful to you and the Fortuna Admissions team!
Michel certainly has the skills I was expecting from a seasoned consultant (e.g. making connections about my background that I could not have spotted, and awareness of each school’s requirements), but her non-imposing supportiveness stood out to me the most. Very near to the R1 deadlines, I had a change of heart about some important aspects of my narrative core. Michel remained incredibly level-headed and supportive – helping me build up aspects of the essay from scratch while also providing valuable input on which parts could not be changed too much (as they were important to admissions officers). We eventually completed a months’ worth of reworks in less than 2 weeks and I submitted the best-possible versions of my essays. With Michel’s help, I was admitted into my dream school (an M7).
I had such a great time working with Heidi on my applications and eventually get an offer from my dream school, HBS!! Apart from being super supportive and always encouraging me to bring all that I have into the application, Heidi’s insights and details into my essays and overall story were highly valuable. She helped me discover and demonstrate areas of strength that made a difference in a pool of competitive candidates. I highly recommend working with Heidi for those who would like to take their application to the next level and make sure they present the best angle of their profile.
Working with Sharon made applying for B-School an absolute breeze. I knew that this would be a big task to take on, on top of a busy work schedule. I was also applying to a good amount of reach schools – so I knew I wanted to do the process right! Sharon made it so easy – I knew what I needed to complete each week and breaking down the process into these bite-sized pieces made the process much more manageable. Sharon helped me with the monumental task of applying to 5 schools R1. We had a few brainstorming sessions, then jumped into essay drafting and revising. It felt easy to get my ideas down and refine them after we had the brainstorming sessions and I complete Fortuna’s assessments. Sharon’s use of the Gallup profile is also very helpful in the process. Then she helped me with the form submissions and refining my online presence. After submissions, Sharon helped me prepare for each one of my interviews with a recorded mock which really helped me nail my interviews.
I got admission offers to 4/5 schools, most with a substantial scholarship. (Duke Fuqua w/ scholarship, Michigan Ross w/ scholarship, UCLA Anderson w/ scholarship, Northwestern Kellogg)
The most important is an offer from my DREAM school Kellogg. I truly did not even consider applying to Kellogg until Sharon suggested it, I never thought I would get in and was expecting a waitlist decision at best. I’m thrilled at the outcome of an R1 admit here and would work with Sharon again in a heartbeat! You can’t go wrong!
Emma helped me with my R1 LBS and HEC applications. I reached out to her after realizing I was somewhat out of depth with the process and had a million questions on how to begin. She immediately broke everything down for me and laid out the process in clear and concise steps. She helped with everything from reaching out to recommenders, school outreach, application questions, and interview prep. Emma answered all of my questions and concerns with patience and really made me feel supported and secure throughout the process. Her edits and advice were invaluable in helping me receive offers and scholarships at both schools. I highly recommend Emma to anyone applying for MBA programs, particularly if you are interested in LBS or other European schools.
Julie was excellent to work with. She is clearly extremely knowledgeable about the MBA application process overall and individual schools. My biggest callout is that Julie provides some calmness in an otherwise stressful application process – I never had to stress about whether I was getting things done fast enough, if my work quality was good, etc. Julie also does a great job of outlining the process overall, setting clear timelines, and ensuring all pieces of the application fit together well. Despite a good GPA, GMAT, and background, I would not have gotten into my MBA program without Julie.
If you are able, I highly recommend working with Julie.
I had my initial Fortuna “sales pitch” call with Silpa. While she presented me with multiple accomplished coaches to work with, I chose to work directly with her because of her ability to interpret and contextualize nuance, as well as her warm, personable nature. This ended up being an excellent decision for me. The MBA application process is deeply personal, introspective, and at times, vulnerable. It was both a comfort and a pleasure to work with Silpa, who was consistently thoughtful, insightful, and helpful. I had a last-minute change in my application with hours left before the application deadline. At the busiest point in her year, Silpa still managed to provide real-time support and guidance. Ultimately I was accepted at Kellogg, where I was waitlisted during the previous application cycle.
I reached out to Fortuna at the beginning of September to work on an M7 application. I had a goal of submitting by the end of September and this meant that the turnaround and follow-up needed to be fast. I worked with Heidi almost every day over the course of the month. She was available every step of the way and was very prompt in her responses. Heidi focused on understanding my goal and profile, which was crucial in putting my application together and identifying the strengths in my application. Heidi helped me highlight my profile through the essays and painstakingly provided a great deal of feedback.
Overall I would say that Heidi was an excellent resource to have, she was straightforward with constructive criticism and beyond kind during the process. Her knowledge of the admissions process was invaluable and she was incredibly thorough in her feedback.
I would highly recommend recruiting her service, it was a pleasure to work with her and her diligence and professionalism were exceptional.
I got accepted into the program of my choice and I couldn’t have done it without her!
Sharon was an absolute joy to work with and I highly recommend her services to anyone looking for an MBA Coach! From day one, it was abundantly clear that I was in great hands with Sharon. She is an expert on every part of the process and relieved any stress I had about applications. Sharon worked with me to narrow my list of target schools, refine my personal story, articulate my goals, review my essays, prepare for interviews, and everything in between. I cannot emphasize enough the personal touch that Sharon brings to this experience. Every detail in every application is accounted for and reviewed in depth. My goal during the application process was to receive a scholarship to relieve the financial burden. With Sharon’s help, I was offered significant scholarships to Anderson and Cornell Johnson. These achievements would not have been possible without Sharon’s expertise and guidance. If you are looking for an MBA Coach to get into your dream school, look no further!
Sharon is the best coach that I can ever ask for! I believe that I would not have gotten into the schools that I applied to (Haas/Anderson) if weren’t for her. It’s been a pleasure working with her. Sharon is thorough, down to earth, and very knowledgeable. She made herself available constantly, answering all my questions and addressing my concerns. She set the timeline and developed a plan so we could have everything done before the application deadline, easing the stress throughout this process. I really appreciate that she took her time to understand my background/stories and helped me incorporate those into my essays. Sharon went above and beyond, helping me to know the real me and highlighting the areas that would make me stand out as a candidate. I can’t thank her enough for what she has done for me! Amazing coach!!!!
Brittany is a super responsive, insightful, and efficient MBA application consultant. All of her advice was extremely tangible and tailored to my story and goals. Brittany helped me move through the application and interview process in a quick but successful way. I would strongly recommend using her for your application process!
Brittany was an incredible guide throughout my MBA application process. I applied to five different schools including HBS and GSB for Round 1. She helped me to formulate a clear and cogent narrative for each one of my essays, asked helpful and insightful questions to probe areas I could develop further in my applications, and fulsomely answered all of my questions on admissions strategy and approach. She is immediately responsive over email and helped to provide guidance that made my application process much smoother (and less anxiety-inducing!). She provided comprehensive support for my primary school of choice, but also offered comments and feedback on all of my applications. I am grateful for all of Brittany’s help in securing a spot at my dream school. Working with her is a no brainer! I can not recommend her services enough.
Would 100% recommend Silpa – she worked as a reader at GSB and provided invaluable feedback on my essays. She was also just a great resource throughout the process – encouraging and a great listener
I had an amazing time working with Karen, she is incredibly knowledgeable about the entire application process and is great at finding what makes the candidate unique and finding the best strategy to amplify these details. It’s tough to say what was the biggest benefit of working with Karen, as she does so many things well. I felt like she walked me through the entire process and really helped me to perform the self-reflection needed to put forth a strong application. I would highly recommend anyone going through the MBA application process consider working with Karen.
I was first introduced to Karen by Jenifer Raver from the Fortuna Admissions team given my preferences of applying to LBS & IESE and in the first 5 minutes of the call, I knew I wanted to work with Karen. I could tell that she was genuinely interested in my story, my career ambitions, and my long-term goals and believed in my potential to make it all come true. (I had spoken to multiple coaches before from other companies; hence I was sure). We kicked off the process and through every conversation involving self-reflection, CV preparation, and essay drafts – Karen unlocked aspects of my personality I never knew existed. I declared on Day 1 that I work better with clear timelines and defined expectations, and she let me set my own deadlines (which had to be acceptable of course). Karen was always super prompt in reviewing any material I sent across, and her feedback – was very organized, relevant, and thoughtful. She makes you want to ask yourself “Why is this relevant?” “How did you impact the lives of others with this action?” and so on….and that’s precisely what business schools want – to understand who you truly are! Sadly, I didn’t get through the first time I applied in 2021, it was a very competitive cycle and I’m sure I probably didn’t make the cut by a very small margin. But I was set on going to LBS and I promised myself that I would reapply. Even though she was not contractually obligated to, Karen offered to help out with my reapplication strategy. She helped me reflect on what went wrong, introspect about what needs to change, structure how I could improve my profile over the next year, and also review my submission material again the next year. I came back much stronger, clearer, and way more confident than last time, and I got through! Karen has never missed my calls (When I got the admit email, she was out on a run and she answered!). We cried together in the ding debrief last year. We laughed and celebrated together on the admit this time (and cried some more, happy tears this time). We connected emotionally – and that’s rare. All my friends and family know her by ‘Karen Didi’ because that’s what I refer to her as (Didi = moniker for ‘Big Sister’ in Hindi – someone you have profound respect for). It was a long hard journey toward achieving my dream of going to LBS, but working with Karen has been such a pleasure. I was stupid to think I could reapply to LBS the very next year, but her confidence in my capabilities helped shape my resilience. Whatever miracle of a career I build from the LBS MBA, I owe it to her. Thank you very very much, Karen!
I was first introduced to Emma by Jenifer Raver from the Fortuna Admissions Team as a Director for my application to LBS. To be completely honest, I was initially very intimidated before my first conversation (she’s a legend!), but 2 minutes into the call, I realized that she’s probably the sweetest and most empathetic person you’ll ever meet. She’s honest, direct and makes you dig deep into your soul to craft the perfect application. Any material I sent across to Emma (even after getting it through my coach), was promptly replied to with even deeper questions, which when pondered upon added exponential impact to my application. Sadly, I didn’t get through the first time I applied in 2021, it was a very competitive cycle and I’m sure I probably didn’t make the cut by a very small margin. But I was set on going to LBS and I promised myself that I would reapply. Even though she was not contractually obligated to, Emma offered to help out with my reapplication strategy. She helped me reflect on what went wrong, introspect about what needs to change, structure how I could improve my profile over the next year and also review my submission material again the next year. I came back in 2022 much stronger, clearer and way more confident than my last application, and I got through! I felt genuine pain in her voice in our post-ding conversation last year, and witnessed tears of joy in our conversation this year after the admit – you don’t have that with an admissions director, you have that with a genuine, caring mentor! Two years of hard work, and Emma never stopped believing in me. Thank you for your undying faith in me Emma, I’m going to make you proud!
I worked with Emma on a 3-school package. Going into the MBA applications process, I was extremely stressed and skeptical about engaging a consultant. I spoke with 15+ consultants/firms and made a comprehensive excel of my conversations with them. After my first call with Emma, I knew that she cared! LBS was my top school, and having conversations with Emma during the course helped me narrow down a list of schools I’d apply to. I ended up with an admit offer from LBS and a US Ivy league school! And on the waitlist for two others – but I got into my dream school, and it wouldn’t have been possible without her help and guidance.
She wasn’t just a consultant – she was a coach and a mentor to me, and at many points, helped me think through some important career opportunities that came my way. She didn’t hold back on feedback – even when I thought I had written my best draft, she would encourage me to go deeper and think through the prompt to bring out my best story. Belonging to an over-represented category, I knew it was important to showcase all aspects of my profile in a balanced way, and Emma helped me through all that. She was extremely responsive, and super-organized and I ended up taking an hourly pack to get my other applications reviewed too. She was more than happy to get on calls, exchange emails promptly and reach out to her colleagues for insights on schools she knew they were experts on. Her knowledge of LBS is unparalleled, and she was great at the other schools I worked on with her too, from knowing what the question is aimed at, to school-specific insights.
During my interview prep, I knew I wasn’t great, but she encouraged me to be better. A great mix of honest feedback and positive reinforcement, and after a few mocks, I could see the change in the way I approached questions – in a more structured and natural manner.
At the end of the day, I needed someone to coach me through the process and be there as a guide, nudging me in the right direction, and Emma did exactly that. I had a wonderful experience working with her, and believe I gained a mentor for life!
I am extremely thankful to Cassandra for going through the rigorous process of submitting an MBA application and making it a smooth journey. It is extremely stressful and intimidating navigating the application process, trying to condense your entire life into 300 words while working full time. Cassandra has been my rock helping me through each step. She was candid, supportive, and extremely understanding. Her feedback on my essays and video interviews was extremely helpful. I loved how she pushed me to try to dig deeper when I was trying to build my story.
I have been impressed with Fortuna throughout, starting from determining which coach I’d like to work with, reviewing my resumes, and building my story, to resources provided for the interviews and the application. The detailed and structured questionnaire that Fortuna requires applicants to submit allowed me to introspect about my life – personally and professionally and really helped bring out my authentic self in the application.
I’ll be starting my MBA journey with INSEAD next year and it wouldn’t have been possible without Cassandra and the Fortuna team.
I decided to work with Fortuna Admissions because of a recommendation from a close friend. I had an excellent experience from day 1. Fortuna was organized, quick to respond, and friendly.
I had an initial consultation call with Catherine that went great, and I immediately knew that she was a great fit to be my coach. Throughout the entire process, Catherine was very kind and effective in her work. She helped me highlight my strengths and guided me throughout the process of networking with programs, crafting essays, and preparing for my interview. Catherine had great insight into what my top school was looking for in an applicant.
After a few months of weekly conversations and preparation, I was admitted to my dream school! I could not have been more happy with my experience with Fortuna and with Catherine. I would highly recommend working with Catherine to my family and friends.
Bill worked with me for a few months and helped get me into my dream school. I cannot recommend Bill enough and really enjoyed working with him.
In particular, Bill has an extensive background in the Admissions industry which allows him to understand the MBA application process incredibly well and speak from a point of experience rather than assumption. Past that, he did a great job of challenging me to elevate my essays and reason for applying while also keeping me upbeat through the process and remaining supportive.
Thanks for all your help, Bill!
I had an amazing time working with Jenifer! She was not only a great coach but also a friend throughout the process, which was something that really helped me power through all the requirements.
She was super accommodating, structured, detail-oriented, and very insightful about the process! Early on, I requested if we could have constant catchups (because it was something I thought would help me keep track, being very busy with work) and because of that, we ended up chatting once a week before work! I always looked forward to every conversation because there was always something new to learn from her each week.
Our conversations were also very fun, we would talk about how life was in our respective countries, especially during COVID-19. I would also share stories about what was happening at work, and she would share how things were at her end. It was great! Aside from that, she would also take the time to genuinely listen to all my different questions and potential apprehensions, and would then provide advice and her thoughts afterward.
I also really enjoyed my mock interviews with her! She made me feel very comfortable during these interviews, where I had the chance to lay out all my different thoughts and insights, and this really helped me control my nerves during the actual interviews. Her comments and feedback were also spot on, and I really appreciate all the coaching I got here.
Overall, I had a great time and got admitted to NYU. I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome, and I am very grateful that I got the chance to not only work with Jenifer but also get to know her! I can’t wait to meet up with her (in person) in the next few years whether in Singapore or in the US!
If you are looking for someone who can advise (and mentor) you well – give you concrete and actionable feedback in a timely manner, but at the same time also ensure the process is enjoyable, then I would definitely recommend Jenifer 100%.
While I was applying to European MBA schools, I started looking for the help of consultants as I wanted to polish my essays (I am an international student) and get the proper guidance along the process of applying to the schools. I arranged around four first free calls with different consultants to get the right feel of the person with whom I will be working. By the time I finished a call with Jenifer, I instantly knew that I wanted to work with her. She not only showed her profound experience in guiding students to success but also expressed a warm-hearted and caring personality. During the few hours that we’ve spent on essays, Jenifer provided critical ideas on how to strengthen certain points and pointed out what could be left out. What is more, Jenifer constantly gave encouragement and kept my motivation up, which is important in the tedious application process when you might doubt yourself. Finally, as I had only a limited amount of time before round deadlines, Jenifer was quick to provide updates and feedback. In the end, I received an admit to INSEAD, my dream school, and I highly recommend Jenifer to any applicant. Thank you so much, Jenifer!
I worked with Emma this year on a top business school MiF (MBA equivalent) application. Before deciding to rely on Emma’s professional service on this application, I had a few calls/meetings with other MBA consultants/firms, I finally chose Emma because of her unique insight into approaching the school application! Emma addressed all my questions and concerns in this application, and her essay edition and interview preparation really made a difference to help me get there, I am finally admitted to my dream school. I recommend Emma to all the top b-school applicants, as I am sure she will provide excellent guidance and support to help you achieve your dream! I will certainly refer Emma to my friends and colleagues!
After shopping around the different consultants and being told by a few that I didn’t stand a chance I met Jenifer. Our first conversation was incredibly encouraging and warm. These qualities carried on while we worked together.
Jenifer was able to take the swirl of confusion in my head to calmly and expertly work with me to put together great applications.
Working with Jenifer was great as she genuinely cared about me, my journey, and my goals. Our meetings started off candidly, speaking about each other’s lives and we quickly formed a strong working relationship. She had a great balance of directness, passion, and supportiveness – which is exactly what I needed.
Overall, I highly recommend Jenifer! She also supported me in setting up practice interviews with other more aligned specific school interviewers at Fortuna.
From being told I didn’t stand a chance, I got into 2 schools and 1 with a $15k scholarship too!
Julie is incredibly knowledgeable, smart, and caring. She helped me through the entire application process, which led to an acceptance at my top school. I would highly recommend her to anyone considering an admissions consultant.
Working with Melissa was an absolute pleasure. We were super efficient in communicating across time zones and she really took the time to understand my profile and helped me to craft my application optimally.
Melissa’s help was highly valuable and constructive and working with her really helped me to get past the difficulty of articulating myself in the application itself. Melissa’s support was continuous and her wisdom of the process is clear to see, so having her there was a big part of my admissions journey, ultimately closing with admission to my first choice MBA program!
