Silpa thinks critically and helps formulate questions that help tremendously in fine-tuning the essays and the overall application. This is crucial for the selection processes followed by the top institutes in the world- This is what makes or breaks an application. I got through the top 5 universities including Stanford and Wharton. Her comments and suggestions were very helpful. I highly recommend her.
I worked with Heidi for S & W out of the “HSW”. When I mentioned I’d also be applying for Booth and Sloan, she was able to adapt the package and help me with those too. With her help, I was able to get in at Booth! She was extremely helpful in helping me craft my story and tackle weak points. The interview prep was also essential!
Rachel is a strong coach because she focuses on the applicant’s authentic vision (nurturing that through a thoughtful reflection process and writing revisions) and is a close partner through dozens of reviews. I consulted with Rachel on a 1-school package but felt her input improved all of my applications. I was ultimately admitted to 3 strong schools including one of my top choices, Wharton.
Sharon is an excellent coach. Without her guidance, I would not get into Berkeley Haas. I am grateful for her guidance during my application process. She is very friendly, easy to communicate with, and has excellent leadership qualities. She spent a significant amount of time with me on Zoom, phone, or email. In addition, she reviewed my application diligently in each section, like supplementary information, resume, essays, and interview. Some of the actions that she took that made a difference in my application: – She listened to my stories and reviewed my resume, LinkedIn profile, and draft essays. – She provided strategy action steps with a specific timeline – Her approach provided accountability for me to stick with the timeline. After learning about my life experience, Sharon guided me to write my essays with a unique vision and objective. With her suggestions, I identified a few weak points in my essays. In addition, she helped me identify a few of my life stories to write as storytelling, which would appeal to admission committees. Finally, being from an overrepresenting engineer category, I wanted to distinguish myself from the pool of similar applicants; Sharon’s suggestions helped me do that.
She also helped me immensely with interview preparation: She delved into each possible question and spent a lot of time preparing for an answer, and then we did a dry run. She pointed out a few weak points in my responses, such as my voice, pronunciation, and filer words. She asked me to practice, practice and practice.
I had a fantastic experience with her, and I strongly recommend her to other applicants who want to get an excellent return for the bucks that you would spend with a consultant.
I worked with Heidi for my applications to H/S/W and could not be happier with the decision I made to work with her (I interviewed a lot of coaches before deciding to go with Heidi!).
Heidi is the perfect mix of thoughtful, articulate, candid, and encouraging. She always came prepared for our calls and provided very quick feedback on my essays. I also really appreciated the way she took the time to really get to know me and understand my story! This proved to be super helpful as we iterated on essay drafts.
I ended up interviewing with 2 of the 3 schools, got accepted to one, and waitlisted at the other!
I had the absolute pleasure of working with Sharon Joyce during the Fall 2022 R2 application cycle, during which I was accepted to A. my top choice, top-tier MBA program, and B. every program to which I applied.
As a dual-degree applicant from a non-traditional background, I knew I had to dive a bit deeper to understand how admissions committees think, and go about the process of building a diverse class. Our time working together has left me with a far deeper understanding of the MBA admissions process than I will make any attempt to retain now that the application cycle is, thankfully, over.
Sharon was punctual, responsive, and supportive, but more important than any of this, she had a genuine desire to build a collaborative relationship. Instead of writing out cookie-cutter essays, we worked together to develop my own unique story and brand as a candidate. She encouraged me to be myself, but the best and sharpest version of myself. That’s the true benefit of working with a coach, and it’s gotten me to where I am today.
I cannot recommend her highly enough.
UMICH Ross, class of 2024
If your application package is flawless and you just want a consultant’s review of your work, I would say you probably will be okay with or without a consultant. But if you need a true thinker and strategist, I would strongly recommend him.
Before I talked with Bill, I had already spoken with a few consultants and started my preparation. Back then I was not sure which one (MBA vs EMBA) suits me better/gives me a better chance to get in. I also think my application package has some flaws. I specifically wanted to find a true thinker to leverage my shining points and counter my weakness.
During this preparation journey working with a few consultants, I observed that:
1. Some consultants would oversell themselves by saying how confident they believe in your case, but avoid your challenging questions to solve problems.
2. Some consultants make a living via their “formula” hence they try to put you into it to boost your success rate. However, that framework might not be who you are. When you give your opinion on this strategy, some consultants are not able to coordinate outside of their “formula.”
I like working with Bill for a few reasons:
1. He is very flexible. Whenever you need him he is there for you.
2. He is able to listen to you for who you are and how you want to present yourself. He supports you in the direction you need.
3. He is able to think through some complex situations during the journey and gives very good suggestions accordingly. I found this intelligence is greatly indicated in his career success. I also read a few articles about him published on websites in China.
4. He is patient. When there are disagreements in a conversation, he is able to still think from your ground and solve your problems. He gives the right amount of support you need.
5. He understands the value of an MBA admission consultant is to help you achieve your goal. He works towards this goal to best serve you.
In the end, I got into the school I wanted the most, with Bill’s help. I didn’t get into the schools I less wanted and apparently, I didn’t hire Bill for those schools either. I think this result is also a true reflection of his value to my journey.
I hope this review can save you some money that I wasted on mine.
I can honestly say……if you are wanting to get into Stanford GSB, Heidi is worth every penny!!!!!!! TLDR: admitted to GSB with a lower GMAT/GRE score and started my application late. Can honestly say Heidi was integral in that result.
I was someone who came into the process deeply skeptical about the value of admissions consultants following a less-than-impressive experience with another company on an application where they added little value to my essays other than grammatical/word choice corrections and seemed to be actively trying to chew up my purchased time. Heidi was the COMPLETE opposite. Right off the bat, she completely changed the direction and style I had in mind for my essays for Stanford compared to those I had prepared for other schools. Each review of a draft, she would mark up detailed comments with clear, actionable comments on how I could strengthen this particular paragraph or needed a new story – extremely helpful. Not only that but she was very efficient and would actively try to conserve our remaining time by pointing out when a 10 min review and email back was sufficient vs when a 30 min call was needed for a more complex draft critique. I actually ended up purchasing additional hours with Heidi willingly because I was getting so much value out of our time – she really has an innate sense of what Stanford GSB is looking for. Yes, Fortuna is expensive compared to other consultants but I actually do think the price reflects the value in this case. If you are serious about getting into the GSB, invest in Heidi.
Karla is fantastic. From our very first phone call, I knew I wanted to work with Karla (actually to be honest from our first email!). While a lot of consultants I talked with tried to package and shape me into a standard profile, Karla saw me for who I was, and was genuinely excited about my candidacy (even when other consultants told me I had no chance because of my low GPA). Karla drew out my unique story, and at the same time helped me craft an application that was 100% truly me. Cannot recommend her enough!!!
I worked with Silpa for 8-hours to help prepare applications for GSB and HBS – it was worth every penny! Silpa was direct, encouraging, and realistic. She helped me strategize on where to invest my time and our time. Consequently, we focused on my resume, LoR briefs, and short answers. Silpa helped me transform my application from a list of accomplishments to a holistic narrative that was balanced and most importantly, true. While she encouraged me to highlight my best self, she made sure it was rooted in my experiences. Silpa’s attention to detail and help with conveying my stories with limited work/character counts were vital to creating a great application and keeping me sane.
I just accepted a spot at my top choice school for the class of 2024 and Silpa was a huge part of getting me there!
Totally agree with others who left reviews on this page -“Karla is as good as it gets” is a fantastic way to describe the experience of working with her. What I also want to highlight is that she doesn’t simply provide technical guidance with her deep expertise in MBA programs; moreover, she presents her authentic self to you and offers genuine mental support throughout the long and sometimes stressful journey of the application process.
I found Karla after I was invited to interview for the Harvard MS/MBA program. At the time, I was excited, but honestly scared because I simply felt unprepared and didn’t know what to expect. When I signed up for coaching with Karla, she broke it up into different sessions, prep (informing me in detail of what an HBS interview is like and what they are looking for), several follow-up mock interviews with a variety of questions, to equip me with all I needed for the interview process. During each session, she makes sure to genuinely acknowledge my strengths and improvements, making me feel warm, supported, and confident. In terms of room for improvements, she provides wonderful feedback on how to frame arguments differently and effectively, how to use the Mckinsey way to summarize and present, how to develop depth, etc. What I loved the most is that each time she’d leave small homework assignments, which are essentially points/questions to consider, which allowed me to explore, investigate and compile more information to enrich my arguments. I simply saw my own progress after each session with her.
What’s even more amazing about Karla is that she goes above and beyond to support her candidate in every possible way. I was not only truly amazed by how she deeply understands the intricate differences between different b-schools – their values and culture, but also mind-blown by how quickly she can get me on board, through concise summaries and facts, to capture key factors of successful interviews. When I admitted how stressed I felt when I had to do two interviews within the same week, she said “I know you got this. You are ready.” It meant a lot to me!
I sincerely wanted to credit a lot of my success with the HBS MS/MBA program and Wharton MBA to Karla. Looking back, I truly wish I had started off the application process with Karla instead of soloing up to the point of the interview. There is simply abundant evidence that under her guidance I could have learned so much more ahead of time for my other applications, and, in many cases, the learnings are not limited to the application, but to future study/work If you ever apply for b-schools, and ever wonder whether or who you should work with a coach, hire Karla!
I have worked closely with Emma Bond for about two months, from the initial goal assessment session and all the way through getting accepted. Emma has been extremely helpful offering invaluable advice on all submitted material as well as the interview process. Her guidance along the way was key and all the advice has been top-notch. She is always super responsive and she goes above and beyond for her students, being available all the time on evenings and weekends too. I am most grateful.
I highly recommend Fortuna and Emma and I would work with them again anytime. If you want to maximize your chances of getting accepted with valuable feedback from top insider professionals, Fortuna is your top choice.
Brittany is a highly professional and experienced consultant. I was applying to the 2nd round to top MBA schools including HSB and GSB with quite short timeline. From the start, she was very attentive in reviewing all my background documents, resume and essays. Discussing further with her, she was really able to distill down all my relevant credentials and background into a streamlined story that made it unique and truly reflecting me. She was super helpful with all her comments and helped me through the Christmas break to finish all applications in time.
Really appreciate her positive attitude and genuine willingness to help!
I got in touch with Karla based on the incredibly strong recommendations of a couple friends, including one who was a successful reapplicant (this year was my second time applying after getting into Wharton with a little bit of scholarship last year). From our first call, I could tell she would be a great fit for me – she is incredibly enthusiastic and personable and is truly in your corner. Having spoken and worked with multiple admissions consultants, I was consistently blown away by Karla’s deep knowledge of the admissions process (especially at top schools like Harvard, Stanford, and Wharton) – she knows exactly what they’re looking for and how to best position yourself. I found Karla to be much more forward-thinking and creative than other consultants; she really helped me refine my narrative and craft an application that was far superior to my first attempt. She is also just a pleasure to work with, extremely supportive, available, and caring.
Ultimately, I got into GSB as a reapplicant and was readmitted to Wharton with a full ride vs. ~25% scholarship in my first application. Couldn’t be happier to have worked with Karla and would recommend her to anyone.
This is Sourya Mukherjee from India. I worked with Sharon my MBA applications to a few schools this year. I had a great experience and have received offers from the Kellogg MBAi program, and full-time MBA programs at Haas, Ross and Tepper.
It was great working with Sharon. I felt that her understanding of what the schools are looking for was extremely thorough. This was escpecially relevant for my reapplicant essays to Haas, Kellogg and the MBAi essay at Kellogg. We started out by doing an online evaluation that helped me identify my key strengths, which formed the foundation for a lot of my essays. We then worked on strategies on how to highlight growth and development in reapplicant essays.
The process was very smooth and Sharon made me feel extremely comfortable. She gave me the confidence to truly express the creative side of me (as a musician) and I feel that made my essays and application very genuine and unique. I’m really thankful to her for this. Although we had an 8-hour package, which was exhausted pre-application, she continued supporting me post-admit as well, helping me secure a $40K scholarship at Tepper.
Overall, I had a great experience and would highly recommend Sharon and Fortuna Admissions!
I worked with Heidi for HSW applications this past autumn, getting into H and W. I got the 8-hour package for ~$3.5K and thought it was fantastic value for money. Heidi was a big value add in being a first sounding board for my ideas. Her experience in the field lets her give instant feedback about what’s actually unique and what’s in fact rather generic. She’s also refreshingly “no bulls***” and will tell you her thoughts straight up, letting you make faster progress. In particular, we did a lot of work articulating a post-MBA career vision, which was a weak spot of mine coming in. The mock HBS interview that she did was also super helpful in prepping me for the real thing.
Going into the MBA Application experience I would compare to drinking out of a fire hose. Information is everywhere, and it’s mostly conflicting and from unknown sources.
Julie was able to first and foremost distill the “so-what” of that information and apply it directly to what I wanted out of my experience.
It’s not always easy to stick out, but with Julie’s guidance, I was able to put together essays and a profile of who I am, and what I want that I was proud of. I can’t thank her enough for her honesty, support, and cheerleading throughout the experience.
Very professional. Michel helped me secure interviews with Wharton and Yale. Worth the money!!
Despite stats below the medians at every school, I applied to, with Sharon’s help I was accepted to 1 M7 and 2 T10s!
Sharon was incredibly easy for me to talk to, and was available through all forms of communication throughout our time working together (and in the leadup to deadlines almost 24/7). As a non-traditional applicant, I was worried about the process and Sharon made it easy for me to understand exactly what I needed to work on to put my best foot forward. She was very specific and nuanced about her edits and advice, and I feel like without her touch I would not have been even close to successful. Also as someone who leaves things to deadlines a little too often, her very direct but respectful approach and clear and effective timelines were incredibly helpful.
Working with Karla Cohen was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Before diving into my story, if you’re reading this and you’re on the fence about choosing Karla: she is relentlessly hardworking, exceptionally knowledgable, and outright brilliant.
I interviewed several consultants before speaking with Karla, but after our first call, I knew immediately that she could offer the expertise I was looking for. What I didn’t know was that I was also hiring a skilled empath and de facto psychologist to guide me through a very stressful process.
Karla has unparalleled, deep knowledge about every school that we discussed. Her network is similarly without equal: if I wanted to speak to a member or alumni of School X, Karla had several that she could introduce me to. She made a process that was previously opaque and frustrating perfectly transparent.
For about 8 months, I probably spoke with Karla at least once per day–she was both coach and psychologist. Karla provided expert advice on applications, prepped me for interviews, and debriefed me after each step. Karla knows me as well as any friend I have, which is a testament to how much she cares and how deep she’s able to get in terms of understanding who you are as a person and applicant.
I ultimately got into my dream school, and am currently attending Yale SOM full time. I cannot recommend Karla highly enough, thank you, Karla!
I cannot emphasize enough how lucky I feel to have worked with Heidi. My story was unique and tricky to tell. We re-wrote my first essay several times, and then one day Heidi sent me a message after waking up in the middle of the night with an idea of how to write my story! Her solution was perfect! Even before this event, I knew that Heidi truly cared about my success and that I could trust her. She helped me craft a beautiful authentic story that I am beyond proud of.
I recommend her to any and all of my friends going through this process. She was always accessible and responded/turned around edits quickly. I loved our calls and I already miss them.
She was amazing during interview prep as well. I felt extremely prepared in all 4 of my interviews. After my first two interviews, she recommended that we get a different perspective for my third and we had another coach do my practice interview. Heidi wanted me to succeed and knew when to pull in someone else so we could make sure I was always putting my best foot forward.
I could not have asked for a better coach/ advisor/ resource during this process. I cannot wait to attend my dream school this fall!! Thank you, Heidi!!!!!!!!!!!
Brittany’s helped me tremendously throughout the MBA process and I definitely wouldn’t have achieved the same results without her. She gave concise, directed feedback for all aspects of my applications, including resume reviews, asking for recommendations, ideating my essay topics, editing my essays, and preparing for my interviews. Her advice, based off her experience, really impacted the cohesiveness and effectiveness of my overall application. She was extremely organized, responsive, and supportive throughout the process – a true expert that will most definitely improve anyone’s odds of being admitted into a top MBA program!
I started working with Judith later in my MBA process when starting the interview process, and I was blown away by her dedication towards getting up to speed with my materials and being as thorough as possible in preparing me for the Wharton TBD. I felt from day one that she was truly invested in my success and became someone that I came to rely on for any and every question I had. She went above and beyond.
Two things stuck out most when working with Brittany. One, she understands the approach you prefer to take. I was confident in the story I wanted to craft and knew what I needed to say in them so I drove the drafts. I also worked by my own timelines since I had to juggle various conflicting activities timeline-wise to meet deadlines. Second, when she reviews your drafts, she makes meaningful contributions to improve and flesh out your essay. I’ve seen other consultants prescribe you a story for you to write instead of helping you facilitate the message that you are trying to convey. The former will not get you into school whereas the latter will distinguish you from the crowd and that’s exactly what Brittany did for me. She helped me convey my thoughts more clearly and concretely by rearticulating some of my examples in ways that better explained a story or desire while considering word count. My essays distinguished me from the rest, and I’ve heard that time and time again on the acceptance calls I had with M7 and T10 schools this year.
I first learned about Emma through the Fortuna Admissions YouTube channel. After watching many videos and researching many similar companies, I decided to reach out to Fortuna by submitting a request for a free consultation. Following that 1 hour conversation I had, I decided to seek Emma’s guidance as to how I should approach my b-school applications, and I can safely say that I made the right choice 100%, and if anything, I should have reached out earlier. Through Emma’s help, I managed to get accepted into some of the world’s leading b-schools. It goes without saying that she played a crucial role in helping me find the best way to approach the challenge of applying to highly selective programmes. Having worked with Emma for a little over half a year, I would define her as an extremely professional and warm person. Here are some of my key takeaways of the whole experience and of Emma in general:
Very professional and kind, yet clear and honest (Very responsive to whatever kind of enquiries I have had [many], Always managed to find time and worked diligently around my schedule, Quick replies). She’s also genuinely invested in the whole process as she will always look out for your best interest and, in turn, make the process feel a lot easier.
As mentioned above – honest. Emma has always been ‘straight up’, especially with one of the schools that I was re-applying to. This is definitely a valuable trait as it reassures you that you know what you’re paying for and that everything is as transparent as it can get.
Very knowledgeable of different programmes across the US, Europe and more. On that note, if you are thinking of applying to LBS there isn’t anyone that can do a better job, in my opinion, at helping you understand the intricacies of the school and manoeuvre through the process.
In terms of the service itself, I would say that I got my money’s worth and would definitely recommend exploring which of the options best fit your need. On an end note, I would also like to say – thank you, Emma. With your help, I managed to learn a lot about myself, and I ended up receiving admission to the school that I wanted. I’m very grateful.
Working with Julie was such a pleasure. She made the application process infinitely easier and kept me to a schedule despite us having to navigate an 8 hour time difference. Julie always provided very candid feedback and was supportive throughout each component of the application process – from thinking through recommenders to reviewing essays and helping with interview preparation. Overall I would highly recommend working with Julie!
Sharon truly goes above and beyond for her clients. I worked with Sharon throughout the Round 1 application cycle (2022 start class) and could not have picked a coach more in tune with my needs. I purchased the 3-school package from Fortuna (includes resume review, essay crafting, and interview preparation). I knew early on in my journey that I wanted to hire a coach to help me to navigate the process, brainstorm essay ideas, and stay on top of my deadlines. However, I had no idea how much introspection the essay portion would require. This is where Sharon’s services became invaluable. She has such a knack for extracting and uncovering nuggets from her clients’ lives to build a strong foundation for their essays then crafting those hidden gems into a unique, highly personal, and compelling narrative to share with admissions committees. Sharon establishes an honest and candid repertoire and trusting relationship with her clients early on in the process, so her clients can be comfortable digging deeper into their experiences through the essay crafting process.
Aside from the essays, Sharon contributed to my application success through: – Ensuring that my application told a cohesive, but a not redundant story. There are a lot of moving pieces to the MBA application (GMAT/GRE score, essay, recommendations, etc.). Sharon carefully strategized what each component would highlight about me personally and professionally to convey my multi-faceted strengths. – Developing a clear and personalized timeline and strategy that was stringent enough to hold me accountable, but flexible enough to pivot when I encountered some bumps in the road (i.e., I had a recommender fall through at the last minute and Sharon was so quick to help me select a replacement) – Her consistent and unwavering positivity. This is a stressful process and having her optimistic, yet realistic perspective kept me on track and focused – Being proactive in engaging the expertise of other coaches. She helps her client to take full advantage of the breadth of the Fortuna coaches’ professional experiences. She does not hesitate to reach out to other coaches who potentially had more insight into a school based on their professional backgrounds/experiences when I had a school-specific application question or concern.
Overall, it was an immense pleasure working with Sharon and I highly recommend her services to anyone looking to engage an MBA application coach. This journey was an extremely personal one with numerous unknowns and stressful moments but having Sharon in my corner to guide me through it, put my mind at ease and made the process as seamless as possible.
Karla is amazing. I worked with Karla on two of my M7 interviews (one of which was for my dream school, HBS), and just absolutely loved her. I felt so embraced and like she really wanted to do anything she could to help me succeed in my interviews and follow-ups.
She spent several hours prepping me (even going beyond the agreed upon session time), debriefed with me after my interviews, and helped me write my thank you notes.
Karla is so knowledgeable about the MBA programs – not only the programs themselves, but also the interviewers, processes, and common formats. Anytime I didn’t feel fully satisfied with an answer, she patiently helped me dig deeper and explore alternatives until we found one I was comfortable with. Through that, she helped me fine tune my story, incorporating more confidence into my answers.
After my interviews, she was one of my first calls – we debriefed over my answers and analyzed if there was any recovery I had to do. After that, she would help me iterate on my thank you emails/reflections as much as I needed. Again, in anything we did together, she went so above and beyond. She was genuinely invested in my success and her support and belief meant the world to me. She would even connect me to other applicants/admits who were in my industry and who would be interesting for me to speak with given our common backgrounds and interests.
I got into my dream school, and Karla was certainly a big component of that! I couldn’t recommend her highly enough!
I have known and worked with Heidi for a little less than two years. Throughout that time, she has been the best MBA application coach and partner that I could have asked for. Starting with results, I applied to four of the M7s, and I got into three of them – one of them my dream school which I will be attending this fall! I certainly put in the blood, sweat, and tears to make this happen, but Heidi was there for everything.
When I decided to pivot my application year due to COVID, she was incredibly supportive and helped me think through the decision and what it would mean. When I struggled through the GMAT, she identified prep programs that could help me improve my score.
She helped me think about my application holistically and really helped me tell my story in a very compelling and authentic way. She was patient, supportive, and extremely accessible when I iterated again and again on my essays and application wording. Heidi was willing to meet with me however often I needed and customized her approach to how I liked to review and receive feedback. She was willing to work on my schedule and helped keep me on track.
I really couldn’t recommend Heidi enough! She is an amazing coach, storyteller, and partner in this incredibly stressful process.
After I was waitlisted for INSEAD, I got in touch with Caroline to work on the next steps in getting off the waitlist. Caroline thoroughly reviewed my application and was quick to point out the areas for improvement. Thereafter, Caroline patiently guided me through each step, giving me crucial inputs to improve. Eventually, I was admitted into INSEAD from the waitlist! Thank you Caroline and Fortuna for your instrumental help in getting me to my dream school!
I highly recommend Caroline and Fortuna to those who wish to improve on their applications!
I am so glad to have found Julia Brady and Judith Silverman from Fortuna Admissions. I have contacted 3-4 different companies, and Fortuna was the only place that willingly connected me with one of its former clients. She really connected with my life story and helped me see the best approach to tackling the application process. Thanks to her efforts, I was accepted to both Wharton and Haas.
Brittany is the ideal MBA application consultant. I worked with her to hone my essays. She won’t give feedback just for the sake of it; instead, she makes sure all critiques address key deficiencies in your work. If an essay is ready to go, she moves on quickly to the next, thereby saving you time in the process. Plus, she is incredibly responsive. Countless times I would email her late at night and then wake up the next morning to a response in my inbox. I found my essays to be much sharper after working with her. The results speak for themselves. I was admitted to three M7 schools including Wharton where her expertise with the TBD was invaluable. She made me feel totally prepared and at ease, giving me the confidence to perform when it counted. Don’t hesitate to work with Brittany.
Sharon Joyce is the best MBA consultant. Fact Check: TRUE. If you want to win, put Sharon in!! I can’t say enough great things about Sharon Joyce. She is the reason I was accepted to M7 schools among others. She is thorough, available, encouraging and also precise in her coaching. Sharon has an incredible systematic method that got me brainstorming and got my MBA narrative flowing. She also set out a timeline that enabled my resume, essays, LORs, portal, and additional information to be completed well before the application deadline which eased the stress inherent in the application process. With Sharon, you will have your best self placed in front of the Adcom and you’ll also work with one of the most gracious, kind, and genuine persons that I’ve ever met. Sharon is truly one of a kind and while she is the reason I got into M7 schools, I truly enjoyed the months we got to know each other as people.
I was very lucky to have worked with Emma, I couldn’t have had a better experience. Emma is exceptional at what she does. I engaged with her for some hourly consulting to help review my essays and prep for the interview in applying to a top Executive MBA Program. Emma was super responsive, quick to review things and did so incredibly thoughtfully. Her feedback on my essays without a doubt guided me to make them above and beyond, and she really appreciated the message I was trying to deliver when giving feedback. My interview with the school was scheduled pretty unexpectedly, and Emma made time in her evening to ensure I got in a mock interview with her beforehand. I wish the review allowed me to give her more than 5 stars, because she deserves more. Emma’s guidance resulted in a really strong application and acceptance into my target program! Thank you, Emma!
Heidi was a true pleasure to work with! She helped me diligently through every part of the application process, from brainstorming how I wanted to pitch my Career Vision to providing very detailed and thoughtful feedback to my essay drafts. Heidi is an incredible writer/editor, which really helped me transform my essays into convincing and interesting pieces of writing. I also particularly appreciated how her feedback was very candid – enabling me to focus my rewrites/edits in the places they were most crucial. Heidi also provided really useful perspectives on how to approach recommenders, and how I may want my strategy to differ by different schools. I was admitted to one of my two top schools, and am really thrilled with the outcome. I can’t recommend Heidi highly enough!
I would definitely recommend using Brittany as an MBA consultant. She has been super helpful throughout my entire process of putting together my applications for various schools. Whenever I had a question regarding an application element, Brittany’s response time was incredibly fast and to the point! It was clear to me that Brittany has had a lot of experience in this area, and that definitely helped me when applying.
I worked with Sharon Joyce as a re-applicant in the 2022 season applying to three schools within T10! Despite it being my second time applying, she was thoughtful in her approach, provided critical feedback on my applications and essays that took it from a B- to an A+! In addition to her amazing guidance, she also is a wonderful person who cares about you and keeps your stress level low during a physically and mentally draining process. I couldn’t recommend Sharon enough!
Sharon helped me through my application process while I was traveling for work! She was amazing! I got into every school I applied to, including HBS and Sloan!
I would recommend Heidi to anyone applying to business school! She is supportive, patient, and a great source of advice throughout the process. I really appreciated how readily available she makes herself – she is quick to turn around comments and easy to reach for feedback. I am so grateful to have had Heidi’s support throughout my application process!
Initially, Malvina’s optimistic attitude combined with a sense of realism was what led me to select her out of the ~10 admissions consultants I spoke to. Looking back on my experience, going with Malvina was the single best thing I did for my business school application. Malvina was able to draw out key distinctions in my profile (despite coming from an overrepresented background), and worked with me on bringing my essay ideas to fruition (while also providing constructive criticism when necessary). She was available whenever I needed her despite the fact that we were in very different timezones (which was often!), and was as committed as I was to my success. Beyond essays, she guided me through the complex process of soliciting solid recommendations and nailing the interview. In particular, Malvina has deep knowledge of the inner workings of the HBS application process that is difficult to find elsewhere (by talking to current students or otherwise).
With Malvina’s support, I was able to gain admission to both HBS and Wharton. I can confidently say this would not have been possible without Malvina and I highly recommend her services!
I first found Karen through P&Q reviews, and there’s no question that she exceeded the high expectations that were set for her – so I wanted to add yet another positive review. Being a non-traditional candidate, I felt that Karen was critical in helping me position my experience and story. I also don’t have professional mentors who pursued their MBA, so Karen’s advice, expertise, and perspective was invaluable – I would be lost without her! With Karen’s help, I was admitted to Wharton (with merit), Kellogg (with merit), and CBS.
I also really appreciate that Karen is an excellent writer/editor. She provided suggestions for reducing my word count many times and has a great eye for storytelling. This was something I didn’t think about much when selecting an MBA coach, but I now realize how important this quality is. In addition, Karen doesn’t sugarcoat anything which I really appreciated. MBA admissions can feel like a black box sometimes, so having someone tell it like it is can be very refreshing. She is straightforward while also being encouraging. Lastly, Karen is a true coach and friend – she really cares about getting to know you and understanding where you come from and where you’re headed. We had many personal conversations and knowing she was on my team and supporting me made the process much more enjoyable and successful. I highly recommend working with Karen!
Michel is great to work with. She demystified the MBA application process and clearly outlined a simple and easy-to-follow timeline for me to be able to hit multiple deadlines without stress.
Michel is especially strong in assessing essays and your overall application to help you tell your story and your why for each school. I truly felt confident in each of my essays and applications, and she was easy to get feedback from and workshop ideas with.
With Michel’s perspective, I got into my dream school!
I would absolutely recommend Karen to anyone undertaking the MBA admissions process. She was an incredible partner throughout the process from start to finish. She is strategic, sharp, highly organized, and is exceptional at storytelling. She worked tirelessly with me for many months to craft a storyline that protected my own voice. She created an extremely structured and organized timeline to break down the process, making it feel much more manageable and less daunting. Working with her exceeded my expectations in so many ways – if it weren’t for her, I truly do not believe I would have been accepted to my dream school (Tuck).
Thank you, Karen!!
Best decision ever. Karen genuinely cares about who you are as a person rather than just as an MBA applicant. This is the X factor that makes Karen so great! She guided me through a lot of introspection, which helped me articulate my life story in an authentic way. Also, her positivity and willingness to help you out in any way (even offered to provide feedback on a school that we weren’t working on together) really comes in clutch when you are going through the MBA application process because you feel like you always have someone in your corner.
Also, Karen truly is a professional. She responds to your questions quickly and provides feedback on your work in less than 12 hours. Any feedback that she gives is carefully thought out. She is always available to get on a call or email.
One last thing. While I was going through my MBA coach search, I had a difficult time believing all the reviews because they were all so positive. Now having worked with Karen, I can understand why they all are 5 stars!
I worked with Jessica and (Michael) to apply for 5 schools and thankfully was admitted into Ross and UCLA!
Working with Jessica was invaluable for my MBA application process. Jessica is really experienced and created a sense of structure for me to follow throughout the long and arduous application.
I especially appreciated her patience over the multiple iterations on the various essays to craft a coherent story for what my career goals were and why I needed an MBA.
Her guidance during the mock interview was also key for me to speak confidently and concisely during the actual interviews, helping me impress the interviewers.
I worked with Jenifer on an hourly basis as I had already drafted my essays when I first started working with her.
I was deeply amazed by Jenifer’s work ethic. She used the time very efficiently – she wouldn’t need a lot of time for each draft essay review but she raised lots of good points for me to consider and improve on every time. She also turned around comments promptly. She challenged me to deep dive into the essay prompt and helped me brainstorm powerful personal stories that I could use.
I was very pleased with how much my essays improved after a few revisions. Working with Jenifer has been the best investment for my MBA application. Aside from essay reviews, I also got application and career advice from Jenifer. With her help, I got into LBS (one of my top 3 schools) in round 1.
Melissa is one of the best consultants out there. She has immense knowledge of the process and her guidance is more introspective than anything. I worked with her right from the beginning and she was happy to hear my ideas, guide me on them, and then let me take my own course of action. She was always a very calming presence in the whole admissions process
I couldn’t have done this without her support. Trust her and you are home.
I was fortunate enough to find Fortuna and Cassandra after a couple of rejections from other admission consultants. The key difference was obvious from day one – Cassandra is compassionate and cares about who you are as an individual instead of your stats. I have an unusual background and am slightly older than the typical MBA applicant and definitely do not belong to the “right” pedigree. Fortuna and Cassandra did not rule me out. Instead, they listened to my story and wanted to get to know me as a person in order to find my strengths and X factor. Throughout the application journey, Cassandra has been on my side continuing to encourage me and making me believe in myself. She is a magician with words who helped turn my essays into compelling and emotional stories. I was told by one of the admission consultants (quite present online) who refused to work with me that the best shot I have got is Top 40. They could not be more wrong. With the support and guidance from Cassandra, I gained admission to a Top 10 program with a full ride. If you are searching for a consultant who genuinely cares about you, look no further!
I was referred to Nonie Mackie from Fortuna Admissions through a friend. My first experience with the Fortuna team was via free consultation with Matt Symonds. I was very impressed by the amount of information and the insights he had about me, which showed that the team puts effort into getting to know a candidate and their candidature for MBA programs before even signing up for a package. I was thoroughly convinced during the call and signed up for the ‘Comprehensive School Package’ with Nonie Mackie as my admissions consultant.
The process of Fortuna is very well structured. After signing up, a candidate is taken through a journey of deep introspection by working on a ‘Strategy Questionnaire’. The questionnaire along with the strategy calls becomes the blueprint for the journey ahead. Writing essays for INSEAD seemed very daunting for me at first, but it was the questionnaire and my calls with Nonie that lighted the way while I was working on my first drafts of the essays.
Nonie is a fantastic coach, very warm and empathetic yet direct and honest when needed. Nonie was always forthcoming and asked if I needed to jump on a call to brainstorm or power through any mental blocks while writing the essays. She also kept track of our timeline and helped manage our deliverables by nudging me if we were losing pace. Regardless of the time pressure, she was extremely focused on making sure that each aspect of the application, from essays, the online application form to all other materials were of the highest standard. I will say that Nonie has through and through understanding of what exactly a b-school is looking for. She always encouraged me to explore my story, and with each new facet, she would refine my overall narrative to become more holistic and balanced. Her constructive feedbacks transformed all my materials into a winning application.
Her inputs along with reviews from Caroline Edwards Diarte, a former admissions director at INSEAD were absolutely key to putting the best application forward. I was applying only for INSEAD, and both Nonie and Caroline were the best experts to coach me, they have consistently been my biggest cheerleaders through this journey. After working with them through multiple iterations and getting the go-ahead from Caroline, who herself shaped the INSEAD application as we see it today, I was confident that my application cannot get any better and could only get so much better because of them.
Once I was invited for alumni interviews, I was very anxious. The mock interviews with Nonie were my sole source of confidence and prepped me to have the right state of mind during the interviews. My experience with the actual interviews was exactly the same as my mocks, so I was very comfortable in the actual interviews. What I valued the most in my mocks with Nonie was her focus on polishing the rough edges while making sure that my authenticity shines through.
Regardless of the school you are applying to, my recommendation would be to have faith in Fortuna Admissions and trust their expertise. Their team has former admissions gatekeepers from all the top schools, and they know exactly how to deliver your best application. Once you are signed up, my only suggestion would be to trust each of their inputs and diligently follow their process.
If you’re applying to get your MBA, you absolutely must work with Brittany. For context, I worked with her on an hourly basis on my story drafting, applications and interview prep. From the start, it was clear that Brittany would be a thoughtful, efficient, experienced and dedicated consultant who was fun and easy to work with and would help me get to the finish line. She helped me craft my MBA story, express my goals eloquently in my essays, pick key parts of my background to highlight in my applications and stay on target in terms of timelines and next steps. Logistically, Brittany replied shockingly quickly to any questions I had and helped me move my essays and applications along very effectively. Moreover, she ran a mock interview with me that prepared me extremely well for that process. With all of the information sessions I had attended on business school and specific MBA programs before meeting Brittany, I still learned vastly more directly from her and am certain I couldn’t have done it without her. Brittany helped me get accepted into 4 out of 5 of the schools I applied to (including 2 M7 schools) and get full scholarships at 3 out of 4. She is truly an expert in her field, and I can’t wait to recommend her to anyone I know looking to pursue an MBA!
