I highly recommend prospective MBA applicants connect with Rachel Erickson Hee. I’ve been fortunate to have great mentors in my life spanning from personal to professional and I consider Rachel amongst this group to this day – well after I started at my dream school. I met Rachel when I was beginning my MBA process as an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs, and I kept in touch as my career progressed and I moved into Venture Capital and Private Equity. I had a clear vision for my application and sought the expertise of someone who would provide me the counter-view, allowing me to see my application in a different light and make adjustments until I had captured the essence of me in the essays and responses. Rachel embodies the true spirit of a great coach: she doesn’t inject her own voice into the work, instead she provides thoughts on one’s own writing and application as a whole. This allowed me to craft an application that shows me in my most authentic light and ultimately culminated in me attending Stanford for my MBA.
Working with Alterrell was a game changer during my MBA application process. As a career pivoter with a humanities degree and no prior business experience, I wasn’t sure how to position myself. Alterrell helped me craft a strong narrative that enabled me to break through the thousands of applicants.
He provided solid advice and a clear strategy to think through target schools and figure out where I would have the most transformative experience. His interview prep was thorough and boosted my confidence, so I was ready for anything. He was also an amazing support throughout the whole journey, keeping me motivated and positive when things got stressful.
I absolutely loved my two years at Wharton. I learned new skills, met incredible friends, developed as a leader and had experiences I could not have dreamed about beforehand. Since graduating, I’ve gone on to have a successful career and am deeply enmeshed in the Wharton community. It is all thanks to Alterrell!
I worked with Jonathan in 2022 on my MBA applications, and his support was instrumental in helping me gain acceptance to three schools, including full scholarships from two of them. Unfortunately, I had to defer due to work commitments. This year, I reengaged Jonathan for the reapplication process, and once again, he exceeded expectations. Jonathan helped me craft a compelling and succinct narrative, ensuring that my story was consistent across my application materials. He was always honest and blunt when necessary, which helped sharpen my essays and strategy. His insights were invaluable, and I could not have asked for a better guide through this process and I have already recommended Jonathan to a few people including my fiancée. If you are serious about you MBA journey, Jonathan is your person!
As a candidate with a non-traditional background, I felt uncertain about how to position myself for INSEAD, but Caroline’s guidance gave me the clarity I needed. Her in-depth knowledge of the process, paired with her intuitive understanding of what the admissions team values, made all the difference. From our first conversation, Caroline was incredibly pragmatic and straightforward, always available to speak to, helping me understand how to present my story authentically while ensuring I highlighted the most impactful aspects of my profile. She provided invaluable feedback on my essays and gave me confidence in how to approach my interactions with the school.
I felt completely supported throughout the entire process, she is not only a woman of words but more importantly of action, and in the end, I was accepted to INSEAD. If you’re looking for someone who will provide honest, insightful advice and empower you to own the application process, Caroline is the perfect coach. Once again thank you Caroline for everything you did.
Working with Melissa was one of the best decisions I made during my MBA application process. Thanks to her expertise and guidance, I was able to gain admission to my dream school, INSEAD. Melissa’s approach was not only thorough but also deeply personal. She took the time to understand my background and aspirations, helping me frame my experiences in a way that would resonate with the admissions committee.
What truly stood out was her ability to help me identify and articulate key moments in my career and personal life, which became the foundation of my essays. Her keen insights into what INSEAD looks for and her dedication to refining my narratives were crucial in shaping a powerful application.
Melissa also went the extra mile when it came to interview preparation. Her advice and mock interview sessions gave me the confidence I needed to approach the process calmly and with clarity. From start to finish, Melissa was incredibly supportive, encouraging, and proactive.
If you’re looking for a counselor who genuinely cares about your journey and has a wealth of experience to share, Melissa is the ideal coach.
Michel was instrumental in my 2+2 application process. She is incredibly organized, thoughtful, and structured during our time working together. As I started contemplating the deferred admissions cycle only a little over 2 months before the application deadline, Michel ensured that the process was smooth and efficient, enabling me to put my best foot forward. I particularly appreciate the insights she is able to bring to the deferred admissions process, as it is evident that she is an expert in this space. With a wealth of experience and strong track record of delivering admissions results, Michel played a crucial role in my admissions process with Wharton, Sloan, etc. from the written portion all throughout the final interview. I highly recommend working with Michel.
Jenifer was an excellent coach for Wharton and was a key part of getting an admit. She helped me understand the perspective of the admissions committee and was vital in getting the best possible version of my application. Coming from a non-traditional background, she was also particularly helpful for ensuring my accomplishments were clearly communicated to the target audience. Highly recommend!
I was referred to Karen by a friend who had worked with her for his admission to the CBS EMBA program. I am so grateful for his recommendation. I loved worked with Karen and with her help was successful in my mission of applying early and on a compressed timeline (2 mos) to only one school.
Karen was personable, empathetic, and encouraging throughout the process. I had interviewed other consultants who felt disengaged and left me with the impression that I was just another number to move through their application machine. As soon as I met Karen I could tell she approaches this work more thoughtfully.
I was so impressed by Karen’s ability to pull pieces of my entire life story into a cohesive narrative by making connections that I would not have considered. She was an excellent creative and logistical sounding board as I worked through application strategy, changing timelines, and what-if scenarios.
She was attentive both during and outside of calls and was invested in my application and my vision. She was timely and responsive despite major schedule differences.
Karen is an excellent consultant who works to help you see and articulate both what makes you tick, and what makes you stand out. I highly recommend working with her.
Jonathan Masland is an outstanding MBA consultant who played a pivotal role in shaping my application strategy.
I reached out to Fortuna, 2 weeks before the round 1 application deadline. They never tried to convince me to get a full package given the time constraint and suggested Jonathan.
From the first interaction, Jonathan’s expertise, personalized approach, and deep understanding of the MBA admissions process stood out. He took the time to thoroughly understand my unique background as a physician-scientist, helping me highlight my strengths and experiences in a way that truly resonated with each program’s values.
What impressed me most was Jonathan’s ability to refine and articulate my narrative with clarity and precision. His feedback was always insightful, constructive, and tailored to my goals. Whether it was brainstorming essay topics, preparing for interviews, or navigating the complexities of waiver applications, Jonathan was a trusted partner throughout the process.
His dedication and genuine commitment to my success made all the difference, and I can confidently say that Jonathan helped me put forward the best version of myself. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking an MBA consultant who not only knows the process inside and out but also cares deeply about their clients’ outcomes.
I had the pleasure of working with Emma for deferred (2+2) MBA applications. I knew deferred MBA programs were highly competitive, and I wanted to work with an admissions consultant to navigate the daunting process. I spoke to multiple consultants from different firms before finding Fortuna, but after my fit call with Emma, I knew she would be the one to help me achieve my MBA goals. With Emma’s help, I was accepted at multiple M7 schools! I could not have achieved this without Emma’s support. Emma helped me with every part of the application process, starting by helping me craft my narrative about why I wanted an MBA and how to present that story to each school. She helped me brainstorm essay content, proofread my essays line by line, and also helped me with each and every question I had about filling out the online applications. When interviews came around, she also prepared mock interviews, making sure I could walk into my interviews with confidence. Beyond her help with the applications, Emma has also been a great mentor throughout the entire process, and I know she’s still rooting for my success. Emma is truly the best coach out there!
Michel worked with me on 4 Round 1 MBA applications. She is exceedingly knowledgeable about the MBA application process and helps you understand how admissions teams think. She helped me identify a clear application story and got me excited about the application process! I found Michel’s coaching most helpful when it came to essay revisions and interview preparation. She really pushed me to tell a clear story in my application and made sure that I covered all of my credentials across the application. I ended up getting into 2 / 4 of my Round 1 schools and I am confident I would not have had this result without Michel. She is an excellent advisor and is super diligent, thoughtful and kind in her approach. It was truly a joy working with Michel!
Caroline gave me the perspective and advice I needed. Despite being a somewhat unconventional candidate, I went all in on INSEAD round 3 and didn’t apply for any other schools. I also didn’t have MBA colleagues who could tell me what was expected, so I really needed the inside view from Caroline on how my essays would be taken, and which aspects of my profile were more important to highlight. Ultimately I was admitted and Caroline was really great to work with.
TLDR: Got into both GSB and HBS, and I couldn’t have done it without Heidi.
As an international student with a unique background, I knew I had solid experiences but struggled with how to present my story. Heidi was a game-changer. She took the time to really listen, helping me focus on the most important parts of my personal and professional journey.
When it came time for interview prep, she was invaluable—insisting we do a mock interview and offering insights that made a huge difference.
The MBA application process is filled with uncertainty, but Heidi helped guide me through it all, keeping my stress in check every step of the way.
I cannot recommend Melissa enough as an MBA coach. Her guidance was instrumental in helping me secure a spot at INSEAD. From our first meeting, Melissa demonstrated a deep understanding of the MBA admissions process and an uncanny ability to pinpoint exactly what makes a candidate stand out.
What sets Melissa apart is her personalized approach. She took the time to get to know me, my career goals, and my unique strengths and weaknesses. This allowed her to help me craft an application that was not only compelling but authentically represented who I am. Her feedback on my essays was invaluable, pushing me to refine my narrative until it was perfect.
Moreover, Melissa’s support went beyond just the application. She provided strategic advice for interviews, helping me feel confident and well-prepared. Her encouragement and constructive feedback made all the difference during this often stressful process.
If you are looking for a coach who genuinely cares about your success and knows how to help you get there, Melissa is the one.
Melissa Joelson is an exceptional and highly effective Consultant. I had the absolute pleasure of working with her during my application process for the INSEAD and LBS MBA programs. Thanks to her guidance, I was thrilled to secure a spot in both programs. Melissa came highly recommended as someone who knows INSEAD “like nobody else,” and after going through the application process with her, I can confidently say that this reputation is well-deserved.
Melissa’s experience and expertise were evident from our very first interaction. She has an extraordinary ability to assess your strengths and weaknesses, craft a tailored action plan, and guide you in presenting your best self. What truly sets Melissa apart is her talent for storytelling—she knows exactly how to elevate the quality of your application by helping you weave together your experiences and achievements into a compelling narrative.
As someone who tends to be skeptical, I was particularly impressed by Melissa’s calm, confident approach. She was not just a consultant but a coach who seemed genuinely invested in my success. Whether it was navigating the stress of an initial below-average GMAT score or chasing down recommendations from recommenders, Melissa was there every step of the way with encouragement and practical advice. Her responsiveness and ability to instill confidence were invaluable throughout the process.
Melissa Joelson is, without a doubt, an exceptionally gifted consultant who brings out the best in her clients. For anyone applying to INSEAD, LBS or any other top ranked school I cannot recommend her highly enough. I would choose her again in a heartbeat.
I applied to INSEAD during round 3 and was thrilled to be accepted, thanks to Melissa Jones. She was incredibly skilled at helping me dig deep into my life to find powerful anecdotes for my essays. Like fitting together a jigsaw puzzle, Melissa expertly tied my stories to what the admissions team sought, resulting in compelling essays. Her deep knowledge of the INSEAD admissions process was invaluable, especially since it was the only MBA program I applied to. Melissa even went above and beyond by preparing me for my interview on a Sunday, ensuring I was fully confident and ready. If, like me, you have no clue where to start with your essays, trust Melissa to steer you in the right direction—she will exceed your expectations.
If you’re probably like me you’re reading this right now to make sure that your hard earned money won’t be put to waste. I’m in finance so
I’ve had a poor experience before with another consultant after I paid my deposit they outsourced all the work and it was extremely impersonal and overall poor quality. On the other hand, Jenifer is amazing. She is always there from step 1 (thinking of business school) to step 100 (following up after you started your class). She views this more than just a job and really cares about getting to know you.
There will be times when you’re preparing your MBA application and it may feel daunting but Jenifer will be there to help guide you. Overall A+, don’t hesitate but I’m sure after your first call with her you’ll know shes the one.
I worked with Michel on my Deferred MBA applications and she was incredibly helpful. Not only was she very thorough in her process for getting to know me and my background, but she was also comprehensive in utilizing her knowledge/resources throughout the application process (including everything from essay writing to writing out activities to preparing materials for recommenders). I would highly recommend working with Michel in the MBA application process!
I couldn’t have asked for a better coach in Jenny. We worked together for about 6 months. With her help, I landed 3 admits (NYU, Wharton, Sloan) and also a full Consortium scholarship. She helped me craft my story and pushed me to demonstrate where I excelled. Like others have said, she knows the ins and outs of what the programs are looking for.
As an added bonus, Jenny was kind and thoughtful throughout the entire process. During one session, I logged on and was stressed about other things going on with work/life. She immediatley sensed that the session would be more productive if we re-scheduled. I appreciate her patience, flexibility and kindness.
Emma has been an incredible mentor and coach over the duration of my applications. We went through multiple iterations of the essays, and she was always incredibly involved. The edits could be as big picture as how the storyline could be enhanced and what parts of my experience could enrich the draft or as detail-oriented as missing commas. I started the process a little late, so it was incredibly helpful to have Emma be super prompt in her edits, sometimes reverting in just a couple hours.
Beyond the essays, Emma also helped me prepare for the interviews. Working with her over the course of a couple applications gave her a sense of my personality beyond my CV, and she motivated me to bring that out in conversations. She suggested how I should feel comfortable making a joke, if need be, and need not be in corporate mode 100% of the time. I strongly believe that this advice helped me get my scholarship. While her guidance helped me convert 2 M7 schools (with scholarships from both schools), she also analyzed my experiences and preferences to continue guiding me, choosing the school and giving inputs on post-MBA career choices.
Throughout the process, she was incredibly encouraging, which helped me keep going, and structured, which allowed me to get things done. I’d decided to work with Emma because a friend recommended I do so, and I couldn’t have been happier with the outcomes. She wasn’t a consultant but a true coach. Though I may be done with my admissions, I definitely will stay in touch with Emma and seek guidance consistently!
Going into the admission process, I wasn’t entirely sure how to best position myself to standout — resume, the essays, interviews etc. were overwhelming, and doing that with a full time job proved to be even more difficult. Without Heidi’s help, I wouldn’t have been able to do it. She was professional but also very personable, she always made time to meet, and she knew exactly how to position my application and stories to make me standout. I couldn’t have done this without her and would highly recommend Heidi as a consultant!
Working with Jessica Chung was a fantastic experience. She is highly experienced and an expert in her field. From our very first meeting, she understood exactly what I needed and identified my weaknesses. She helped me address these gaps by revamping my resume, developing my personal story, and clarifying my MBA goals. She made my MBA application stand out and appear exceptionally polished. The end result has been life- and career-changing, and I couldn’t be more satisfied.
I could not have asked for a better consultant than Jen. Bottom line upfront: she took me from a waitlisted applicant to someone on a 50,000 scholarship. In a short time listening to my story, she helped me articulate a core theme for my application, identified specific aspects of my extra curriculars to highlight, and gave me honest constructive criticism and praise throughout the application process. I strongly recommend her to anyone considering it. My investment paid out 20 fold.
When I began my search for an MBA consultant, I met with three different consultants. However, the moment my conversation with Karen ended, I knew she was the right choice for me. She immediately made it clear that this process was not just about gaining admission to an MBA program, but also about personal growth. She asked challenging questions to bring out the best in me throughout the process.
Applying for an MBA is an emotional roller-coaster, and Karen was there for me every step of the way, dedicating countless hours to guide and support me. Her deep knowledge of various MBA programs and her expertise in tailoring my applications and interview strategies helped me receive offers from multiple top-tier programs and ultimately choose the best fit for me.
Even after I accepted an offer, Karen continued to support me with decisions regarding my MBA studies.
Choosing to work with Karen was the best decision I made in this journey. She is an expert in her field, 100% dedicated, and she makes you feel like you are her only client. I have no doubt that we will stay in touch and that I will continue to seek her advice throughout my MBA experience.
Absolutely thrilled to share my experience with Emma! Her exceptional support and expertise were instrumental in my successful admission to a top school. Emma’s attention to detail, thorough approach, and deep knowledge were truly unparalleled. She guided me with kindness and patience, making a daunting process manageable and even enjoyable. Without her dedication and insightful advice, this achievement wouldn’t have been possible. Emma’s exceptional help made all the difference, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Highly recommend her services to anyone looking to navigate the complexities of school admissions!
Emma turned a 2.8 GPA, 311 GRE, 32-year-old into a top 10 MBA admit. Need I say more?!
After SIX different fit calls with various advisors (see obstacles above), I could not have made a better decision on who to partner with through the application journey than Emma. She was everything you could want in an advisor: immediately responsive; exhaustively thorough; intrinsically thoughtful; and inherently compassionate. I paid for a consultant to improve my chances of admissions but received a therapist, life coach, and MBA advisor all in one that helped me successfully navigate the dark and stormy sea that is the MBA application process.
I would typically recommend to everyone that they do extensive research to find the best possible advisor, but save yourself the time – you already found her.
I spent a significant amount of time researching and speaking to several MBA advisors before deciding to go with Emma. My interactions with most advisors were very transactional, and many told me I was unrealistic in applying to a Top 10 MBA programme, given my profile. Emma (and Fortuna) was the complete opposite. Emma managed to strike a perfect balance between being human, empathetic (and funny), highly professional, efficient, and incredibly knowledgeable. Most prospective students, including myself, found the application process quite overwhelming and time-consuming, as well as a full-time job, but Emma was incredible at putting my mind at ease with the whole process. The result was that I got into the Top 10 school/programme of my choice and received a significant scholarship, all as a Round 3 applicant; it is safe to say that she was monumental in getting me across the line. Emma was incredible to work with and I cannot recommend her more highly!!!
Patty is truly amazing. I’ve been out of school for many years and do not have an undergrad degree and realized I needed help applying to EMBA programs. I’m extremely FORTUNAte to have found Patty Keegan. She helped me realize my dream of being accepted into my top MBA programs. Without her guidance, patience and expert advice, I never would have been able to get into the school of my choice.
Patty is well worth the investment. Two thumbs up!
Melissa is an all-round wonderful coach to work with. She works with you like a mentor. She is thorough, thoughtful, super-responsive and focuses on every single detail. Coming from a non-traditional background and with only a couple years of work-ex, Melissa motivated me every step of the way to make my dream of pursuing an MBA a reality. Both Melissa and the team at Fortuna are experts at what they do—it’s been a delight to work with them on this journey.
I worked with Jenifer on my applications for 2 schools.
She’s a world-class coach, deeply knowleadgable about the ins and outs of the MBA application process.
Engaging with Jenifer is not about “just applying for an MBA”, but the best way to reflect on who you are, why you’re here, and what good you want to do in the world.
She is a compassionate and caring person, and working with her was transformative in many ways.
At a time when every consultant discouraged me, Jenifer took the bet and was there throughout the process to help me reflect, craft, and sharpen my story.
In the end, I was accepted at H / W ($) and Booth.
If you can, I highly recommend to work with Jenifer during your MBA application journey.
I had an exceptional experience working with Emma from start to finish. From the initial profile screening to strategizing the application components, Emma’s guidance was invaluable in building a strong application package.
Emma approached every detail I shared and gave me her full attention during our live sessions. Her genuine interest and empathy made me feel comfortable and safe to be vulnerable, which was crucial for our discussions. She never tried to direct my essays or interview answers into “model answers” or imposed her own experiences. Instead, she aimed to bring out my most authentic voice with strength. In short, Emma provided insightful advice while allowing me the autonomy to be creative with my answers.
Emma was a skilled coach, a trusted advisor, and a supportive friend. The strategic approach and framework she taught me paved the way for my successful application to Cambridge Judge, which was the only package I initially worked on with her. I then applied the same concepts and mindset to my applications to LBS, INSEAD, and Oxford.
The results speak for themselves: I was admitted to all four schools, each with a scholarship. Most notably, I received a full tuition fee scholarship for the LBS MBA and will be joining the MBA2026 cohort this August.
I worked with Karen on my MBA applications and by the end she felt more like a mentor and life coach, rather than just an MBA consultant. Her ability to listen to my entire life story & experiences and help me craft a narrative that felt authentic and compelling was the highlight. From there we were able to have a clear vision going into my essays that made the writing process much easier. Her edits helped my writing come to life and ensure that I didn’t lose any meaning while trying to stay within the character limits.
There was no limit to how many times I could call/email Karen and she is incredibly responsive and patient, ensuring that you feel confident in everything you’re submitting to business schools. Her knowledge about the different schools and application process also felt relevant and up-to-date.
If you’re unsure about the price tag of hiring a consultant, I would encourage you to think about the merit based scholarship packages available to the strongest applicants. For me, the money I invested in working with Karen completely paid off in the funding I received from business schools. Highly recommend working with Karen!
I had a great experience working with Scott – very helpful suggestions throughout the process and efficient and responsive as well. Overall, I would definitely recommend working with Scott. I was admitted to both schools I applied to/worked with Scott on, with generous scholarships as well.
I am thrilled to share my exceptional experience working with Bill during my MBA application process. Thanks to his guidance and support, I was accepted into every MBA program I applied to.
From the very beginning, Bill demonstrated a deep understanding of the intricacies of the MBA admissions process. He took the time to get to know me, my strengths, and my career aspirations, which allowed him to provide personalized advice that truly resonated with my goals. His expertise in crafting compelling narratives for my essays was invaluable. Bill’s insights helped me articulate my experiences and ambitions in a way that captured the attention of the admissions committees.
Bill’s dedication went beyond just reviewing my applications. He offered strategic advice on selecting the right programs, preparing for interviews, and even navigating the decision-making process once the offers started coming in. His encouragement and constructive feedback kept me motivated and confident throughout what could have been a very stressful period.
What sets Bill apart is his genuine commitment to his clients’ success. He was always available to answer my questions, no matter how trivial they seemed, and his positivity was infectious. Bill’s holistic approach not only strengthened my applications but also helped me grow personally and professionally.
I am immensely grateful to Bill for his unwavering support and expertise. His contributions were instrumental in achieving my MBA dreams, and I wholeheartedly recommend his services to anyone looking to succeed in their MBA journey.
My journey to securing an MBA spot at Cornell wouldn’t have been possible without Karen’s exceptional guidance. I initially felt overwhelmed by the application process, but Karen’s expertise was a game-changer. She possessed a remarkable ability to grasp the intricacies of crafting compelling essays. Her keen eye for detail ensured every sentence resonated with my unique experience and future aspirations. Beyond the essays, Karen built my entire application and highlighted my strengths in the most impactful way. However, her influence extended far beyond the application itself. Karen served as a true mentor throughout the process. Her insightful discussions helped me refine my long-term goals and gain a clear vision for my future career path. If you’re seeking an advisor who not only masters the application nuances but also invests in your personal and professional development, Karen is your answer. Her exceptional talent and dedication are truly unmatched.
From the moment I had the initial consultation with Karen, I felt confident that with her, I would achieve my goals. Karen’s guidance extended far beyond my MBA application. She understood my thoughts even before I voiced them and encompassed a holistic view of my career and life goals. Karen masterfully shaped my MBA application, transforming the journey into an extraordinary experience from day one. She devoted countless hours to helping me clarify my goals and motivations for pursuing an MBA, even before we tackled the application itself. Karen’s deep understanding of the intricacies of MBA admissions significantly strengthened my application. She mentored me on how to reflect on my experiences and helped me connect the dots, planning my journey ahead. After receiving admission from three top schools, she was instrumental in helping me make my final decision. Even now, almost a year later, she continues to support me as I prepare for school.
I wholeheartedly recommend Karen to anyone navigating the MBA admissions process. Her dedication, expertise, and commitment to bringing out the best in me deepened my understanding of my journey and aspirations. Karen is truly amazing, I am grateful for the opportunity to work with her, and I am confident she will continue to be a vital part of my journey ahead.
She has been a great help during the whole application process, from constantly reviewing my essays and CV with amazing feedback to guiding me in story building and interview prep, you name it. She believed in me more than I did, strengthening my resolve. My experience has been nothing short of fantastic, and her constant support led me to get admitted from GSB(both MBA and MSx) HBS; and I am very grateful to her for all her help in making this possible.
Karen was amazing throughout the application process. I knew she was the right fit for me from our first conversation together. She was always quick to answer questions and was available whenever I felt the need for a video call. I don’t think there are many consultants out there that give their clients the same level of attention that Karen does. She constantly provided me with extremely detailed feedback. Karen helped me highlight important parts of my story that strengthened my overall application. She was great at improving my confidence throughout the application process; particularly, during the interview phase. Our mock interviews and her feedback helped me navigate the real interviews with confidence. I was also impressed by her detailed knowledge of all aspects of the application process. There wasn’t a single question about the overall process that she couldn’t answer. Her feedback was always extremely detailed. She was also great at keeping me on track whenever I fell behind our timeline, and provided honest feedback. I think Karen is the best choice for whoever is considering hiring a consultant and I am extremely happy that I was able to work with her.
Melissa was instrumental in helping me land offers from Oxford, Cambridge, LBS and INSEAD. She was very responsive throughout the process, and provided key insights and constructive feedbacks on my applications/ essays. She also hosted a mock interview with questions closely resembled the real thing. I highly recommend Melissa to other aspiring MBA applicants!
I worked with Melissa in R2 application. I started my process a bit later than usual but Melissa was super helpful and worked to make up for the lost time. In a week’s time we were working on drafts for the essays. Her confidence in me bolstered my confidence in my application. She was very helpful with interview prep and provided my constructive feedback. Thank you for all your support Melissa!
Coming from a non-traditional background of physical therapy, the majority of the MBA application process was foreign to me. It was like trying to learn another language. I knew I needed help from someone who was not only spoke the language of the business world, but had experience with admissions committees, what they would be looking for, and how to best sell myself to them. Sharon was the best interpreter I could have ever asked for. From our first consult call, I immediately connected with her calm and confident personality. She was kind, patient, and compassionate while also holding me accountable and pushing me to take advantage of every opportunity. She walked me through career research to figure out what my goals were. We narrowed down the list of schools I would apply to based on those goals, my preferences, and culture fit. She helped me package and brand my stories and background in a way that would translate best to the business world. I’ve never been someone who wrote multiple drafts of every essay, but Sharon helped me see the importance of using every word count available to better frame and craft my application. She pushed me to reach for schools and scholarships I wouldn’t have thought I could consider. The results? I got into 6 of the 7 schools I applied to with multiple scholarship offers, including a full ride to the school best matched for me and my goals. Sharon was just as excited I was for each acceptance and even helped me talk through my final decision making process. When I started on this path to pivot my career, I was worried it was a long shot that wouldn’t make sense to anyone else. Sharon not only validated my choice, but showed me step by step how feasible it was. She didn’t change anything about the me or the base facts of my application. She took my background and my stories, and she helped be re-package them in a way that highlighted what the admissions committees would respond best to while still being authentically me. I wouldn’t be where I am without Sharon, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.
Karen has been an invaluable partner throughout my MBA application journey. I began working with her a year before submitting my Round 2 applications, and from the start, her approach stood out. She has a unique ability to elevate the creative quality of your written materials while also providing steadfast accountability throughout the process. Working with Karen, I consistently felt supported by the best in the field.
Karen’s guidance was comprehensive and strategic. She expertly outlined the process, milestones, and key factors to manage at each stage, ensuring I stayed on track and focused on the right priorities. Her hands-on approach instilled confidence in me, knowing that I was making informed decisions at every step.
Where Karen truly excels is in helping you uncover and articulate your unique value proposition. Together, we crafted application materials, particularly the essays, that effectively communicated my story to admissions committees. Thanks to her insights, I entered every interaction, whether networking or interviews, armed with a clear understanding of my strengths and a heightened sense of confidence.
By the end of the process, I had secured offers from multiple M7 programs and received a full-tuition fellowship from a T10 school, which I ultimately accepted. I am incredibly grateful to Karen for her unwavering support and expertise throughout this journey.
Thank you for everything, Karen!
I started working with Karen about 5 months before applying. I was very nervous about the entire process since I had a sub-3.0 GPA and below average GMAT scores to all the schools I was applying to. Karen was quick to boost my confidence and tell me that I would get into a top program even when other consultants told me I would not get into a top program. She then helped me come up with a very compelling story, wrapping my family background, work experience, and goals in a way that showed a logical progression towards my MBA journey. I don’t think I could have come up with the same story if it wasn’t for Karen. After the story was in place, Karen helped me craft my essays for R1 decision. Even with a significant time zone difference, she always made time to meet, including during the weekend, to accommodate me. I decided to apply to the most selective schools on R1 but was not able to get any admissions. After R1 results, Karen kept reaching out to help me change my strategy for R2 even though the school package I bought was only for R1 applications. She shared my story with her colleagues and had a Fortuna Director help me with my essays and interview prep. I was ultimately admitted to Tuck in R2 and even got invited to interviewed at other M7 schools. I really enjoyed my time working with Karen and I would 100% recommend her. Try out a consultation with her, in my case after the initial 30-min chat I knew I wanted to work with her because she was very sharp and personable.
I had the opportunity to work with Karen for my MBA applications and it has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for this process! From the very first meeting, I knew that Karen was going to be the best person to work with for my applications. I had spoken to a couple of other highly rated advisors, but unlike other consultants, Karen made me feel confident about applying to M7 schools even with a lower than average GMAT score from the very beginning. Karen brought out confidence in me and with the help of her expertise and insights, I was able to get into M7 schools. She helped me through the entire process, to present myself in the best way possible, and bring my personality out, supporting me every step of the way with any question I doubt I had. Karen always made herself available, even at last-minute requests, and always had a positive, encouraging and kind attitude.
I was lucky to have her throughout the process, and I could not recommend her enough!
I chose to work with Patty in preparation for an application to Wharton’s EMBA program. Patty’s advice and guidance were instrumental in my admittance. She brings to the table a wealth of experience and first-hand knowledge of how to navigate the application process. Without her, I am sure that I would have left chips on the table. She absolutely helped me to put my best foot forward. And…she was a pleasure to work with! I couldn’t recommend Patty more.
Heidi proved to be an invaluable resource for me in my MBA application process. In particular, I appreciated Heidi’s knowledge, approach, patience, and gifted ear for storytelling. She applied personal attention to my candidacy, strategically covered my blind spots, and worked diligently with me to strengthen all aspects of my application. This touch meaningfully helped me articulate and connect intimate details of my life to reasons for pursuing school. Put simply, Heidi was the secret weapon that helped me unlock Stanford GSB. Follow my lead! Thank you, Heidi!
I highly recommend working with Heidi! I began working with her in the summer of 2023 while aiming for applications to five schools in Round 1, which was relatively late in the process. Despite the timing, Heidi proved her expertise and was pivotal in refining my narrative and offering extremely valuable insights. Prior to working with her, I lacked clarity on my career goals. However, Heidi guided me in defining my vision, a benefit not only for the MBA admissions journey but also for my future career.
Heidi’s responsiveness is exceptional. Despite being in different time zones—I was in Europe for several months and then back in the U.S.—she consistently replied to my questions and returned drafts within a day, providing thorough reviews and feedback. She really ensures that you receive the dedicated attention you require!!
MIT Sloan has always been my dream school, and I am thrilled to be attending this fall. Heidi’s guidance was crucial in achieving this milestone!
Getting into GSB wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing support and guidance of Rachel! She has been an absolute rockstar throughout this entire journey. From our very first conversation, I knew I was in good hands. She’s been there for me every step of the way, offering invaluable advice, encouragement, and unwavering support. I am so grateful for her dedication and genuine interest to get my application and letters to the best shape possible. Rachel, you are an absolute superstar, and I cannot thank you enough for believing in me and helping me achieve my dreams. If you’re considering applying to GSB, or any MBA program for that matter, do yourself a favor and reach out to Rachel—you won’t regret it! Thank you, Rachel, from the bottom of my heart!
Rachel is an incredible coach to work with who goes above and beyond to ensure that your authentic voice and ideas are evident throughout your entire application. From essays to describing extracurriculars to recommendation letters, there are a lot of moving parts to the application. Rachel was instrumental in helping me prioritize and time manage. She’s incredibly timely in providing feedback and I could tell she truly cared about helping me put together a story/application that reflected my core values. I’m so grateful to have worked with her through the process and I highly recommend anyone looking for a coach to work with Rachel.
I was very skeptical of working with a consultant at first, and had intro calls with ~8 people. They were by and large transactional, cut and dry. Scott blew away any skepticism I had: he was impressively quick in identifying the most interesting contours of my story, and ideating a creative strategy to weave them together. And more importantly, he was authentic and invested. I opted for just a few hours of his time, and wish I got more. He was full of brilliant, creative ideas and suggestions – both high strokes and in the weeds of the essays – and showed me so much authentic care and support in what was an arduous rollercoaster of a process. I’ll be starting a dual degree (MBA/policy) at an M7 with a great financial aid package and couldn’t be happier with the outcome, and to have had Scott’s partnership in the process.
